The Queen's Chair: Aquarius And My Name Is Marsha (530 hits)

I woke up this morning and heard The Today Show's Meredith Viera announce that the zodiac sign I have come to LOVE for more than 40 years may not be mine . There is now a 13th sign that astrologers have known about for years, but never said anything about. As she read from her script and the cameras showed the new sign, I just thought I don't want to hear this. You are changing the world I know.

First, you got rid of of the planet, Pluto. It's still a planet in my book, people. Now this. For those of you who do follow the Zopdiac: I LOVE being an Aquarius. We are helpful, tolerant people and are loyal friends. We get along with every sign of the zodiac, but one: Leo. We are romantic and idealistic people. We are the only Zodiac sign that has a song: The Age of Aquarius from the show, "Hair."
I LOVE my sign and now astrologers are trying to take it away. Think again, astrologers.

I'm not letting you take this from me without a fight. This just doesn't affect me, it also touches my other Aquarian friends: Anita Baker, Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, Jody Watley, Justin Timberlake and John Travolta. We almost had Michael Jordan, if it wasn't for you and your cusp.

I have studied the astrological signs for years when I was younger. Now these people pull a stunt like this. Can they be cast out towards the Big Dipper? Can the Sagittarian hunter shoot an arrow in their hearts? While my birthday still falls under the Aquarius parameters: why was their a need to mess with other people's birthdays. And did we really need to announce a sign that's good for less than ten days? Nonsense. My friends on Facebook can't believe this made front page news and neither can I.

While the now 13 signs are fun. They should be relegated to the back the C section with cartoons and crossword puzzles. The spirit and age of Aquarius is always going to live with in me...period. Take that astrologers.

I was born May 9 (a Mother's Day at that) and I have had bad experiences with Aries folk so imagine the look on my face when I saw that I no longer fall under the Taurus sign...LOL

Astronomer Parke Kunkle says that due to changes in the Earth's alignment the dates of many zodiac signs have changed, according to NBC. In addition, there may be a 13th Zodiac sign: Ophiuchus.

Kunkle says that as the Earth and Sun slowly move the signs gradually change, as expected.

The change didn't happen over night either. The 12 signs were designated to different periods of the year almost 3,000 years ago, when astrology began, and since then the Earth's position in relation to the sun has changed.

While the sign many people were born under may now be different, it shouldn't affect horoscope readings, according to NBC.

I've never really trusted in signs of the Zodiac. I focus more of the signs of the inside person. We all can be beautiful and share goodness of heart as far as getting along with compatiablity. All of us are different this is true, but there is a common ground of just simpliity of caring hearts in everyone who allows to let it happen. That sign is called love.

Marsha, Aquarius and Leo are a very dynamic pair. I'm Aquarius and my second wife is Leo. Very stormy but very passionate as well. And I don't mean passionate in the romantic sense. My second son is Leo and his wife Aquarius. An almost perfect match.

@ Steve: I'm very aware of the chemistry between the signs. I have an ex-boyfriend who is a Leo and we have remained friends for more than 20 years. And have always been supporters of each other.
@ Miisrael and Siebra: Two thumbs up on that.
@Siebra: Turns out this new zodiac sign chart reassignment is for people who follow the Eastern method of reading the zodiac via the weather and not the actual stars. There are two zodiac charts. Seems I got upside for nothing. I get to keep the Aquarius designation.
