Holy Quran: What Does God Say: Chapter 3:83 (1806 hits)

"Say: We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the tribes, and what was given to Moses and Jesus and to the prophets from their Lord; we do not make any distinction between any of them, and to Him do we submit.

And whoever desires a religion other than Islam, it shall not be accepted from him, and in the hereafter he shall be one of the losers. "

saint, gary and jamal, the footnotes -they can be from the translater or they can be from the Tafsir of one of the 4 Great Imams, taken from the Hadeeth or Sera of Mohamed(as)---the way and history of Mohamed(as)

a better translation of SuratulImran(the family of Maryam)---

but like you noNothings of AlQur'aan----A Believer cannot take a translation as Words of Allaah and a Believer MUST take the context of Chapter before and after, one CANNOT take an ayah out by itself---I will translate those ayah before and after for a better english understanding..................a discussion before was about the prophets and what Allaah had told Believers.

SuratulImran

78. Anmong them is a party who distort the Book with their tongues as they read, so that you may think it is from the Book, but it is not from the Book, and they say: "This is from Allâah," but it is not from Allâah; and they speak a lie against Allâah; and they know it.

79. It is not possible for any human being to whom Allâah has given the Book and Al-Hukm (the knowledge and understanding of the laws of deen(religion) and Prophethood to say to the people: "Be my worshippers rather than Allâah’s." On the contrary he would say: "Be you Rabbâniyyûn (learned men of deen(religion) who practise what they know and also preach to others, because you are teaching the Book, and you are studying it."

80. And he would not order you to take angels and Prophets for lords (gods)[1]. Would he order you to disbelieve after you have submitted to Allâah’s Will? (Tafsir At-Tabarî).

81. Remember when Allâah took the Covenant of the Prophets, saying: "Take whatever I gave you from the Book and Hikmah (understanding of the Laws of Allâah), and afterwards there will come to you a Messenger (Mohamedd صلى الله عليه وسلم) confirming what is with you; you must, then, believe in him and help him." Allâah said: "Do you agree to it? and will you take up My Covenant?" They said: "We agree." He said: "Then bear witness and submit."

82. Then whoever turns away after this, they are the Fâsiqûn (rebellious: those who turn away from Allâah’s Obedience).

83. Do they seek other than the way of life of Allâah-the true Monotheism - worshipping none but Allâah Alone, while to Him submitted all creatures in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly. And to Him shall they all be returned.

Footnote: from Tafsir, Hadeeth

[1] (V.3:80) Narrated ‘Umar رضي الله عنه: I heard the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم saying, "Do not exaggerate in praising me as the Christians praised the son of Maryam (Mary)*, for I am only a slave. So call me the slave of Allâah and His Messenger." (Sahih Al-Bukhâri, Vol.4, Hadeeth No. 654).
* The Christians overpraised ‘Îsâ (Jesus) عليه السلام till they took him as a god besides Allâah.

Irma, jamal, gary and farakhanMadoof have NO clue----they just are colorWorshippers that hate the masterChristian and act as if they hate paganChristianity, YET, they can only use paganChristianity CAUSE of the old negro stereotype, 'they too lazy to study, they too lazy to think, they too lazy to follow 1640+ Years of Scholarship....................Here is a Law that the 2 Billion Muslims abide.

Question:
Is translating the AlQur'aan or some of its ayahs into a foreign language with the aim of disseminating the Islaamic Call in non-Muslim countries an act that does not conform with the Islaamic law?
Answer :
Praise be to Allaah Alone, and prayers and peace be upon the last Prophet Mohamed.

Translating the AlQur'aan or some of its ayahs and all the meanings implied in them is impossible.
Literal translation is not permissible as it distorts the meanings.

May Allaah have mercy on me if I have made a mistake.

As for translating the meanings of an ayah or more and pointing out its legal rulings and teachings into other languages such as the English, French or Persian languages with the aim of disseminating the meanings of the Holy Qur'an and calling others to believe in it, is a permissible act. It is similar to explaining the meanings of Qur'anic ayahs in Arabic. Yet, it is stipulated that the translator should have the ability to give the meanings of the Holy Qur'an accurately and explain its rulings and teachings.

If he does not have the means that may help him in fully understanding the Holy Qur'an, or if he does not have the ability to accurately convey such meanings in other languages, he should not translate the meanings of the Holy Qur'an. He may distort the meanings and he will be punished instead of being rewarded.

May Allah grant us prosperity. Peace and prayers be upon our Prophet Muhammad.

A muslim believer provides one passage from the Holy Quran. It is very simple passage. Notice that I have not provided an understanding because I like to hear what you have to say. Then little Abraham says as inspired by the One God. Never do I ask a non-believer of Islam the meaning of a passage of the Holy Quran because it is stated in the Quran that "understanding" itself is a blessing of Allah (God). Reading the Quran is one thing in other words but understanding it is altogether differant.

What it means is that you cannot pick and choose which of Allah(God's) prophets to believe and which you will not. So there was the revelation given to Abraham. There was only God and Abraham communicating. Also, there was the revelation given to Ishmael. Again, it was between God and Ishmael. Also, there was the revelation given to Isaac. Each revelation from God was distinct meaning to ONE person. Those of us know what was spoken about from Holy Scripture.

Getting back, one cannot say they believe and only believe in what God has revealed to Ishmael and not Jesus or Moses. It also mentions Jacob that was given a revelation. Once we can grasp these simple truths then we can go further. But, a person that does not recognize these figures of the Quran....then what they need to start back at elementary school.

Irma, there is only ONE God and His proper name is Allah. The differances between me and Minister Farrakhan are few but major. That is, I do not want to invite the devil in our brotherhood and sisterhood. And, he should stick with the teachings of Messenger Elijah Muhammad and particular Number 4 of "What the Muslims Want.". Then, he should step down in place of someone more qualified to make "GOOD" on establishment of land we, the children of slaves can call home making TRUE the Nation of Islam.

Irma...this excerpt from the Holy Quran is significant. One does not need to deviate from its content unless they prefer arguement. Nevertheless, if one has comment that has a small amount of credence, I will not delete....it is only the blatant ignorance that brings nothing to the blog...that give me no other choice.

Further, it says "we do not make any distinction between any of them"...which is important because some may think that you can ignore what God said to one and only emphasize what God said to another.

Hello to all,

Should it not be important to all of you (Jamal, Irma, Saint Jake, Gary and Robert) that something must be wrong between all of you? All of you are Black Americans. Yet, you all argue and disagree with each other about the Quran and Bible. The Bible and Quran are scriptures that do not belong to Black Americans. If they were our scriptures we would be Arabians, Jews and European gentiles. We are not Arabians, Jews or European gentiles. We are Black Americans which is a new race of people born out of the ashes of plantation slavery.

Why it is that you all could believe that the Arabians, Jews and European gentiles received their scriptures from God through a prophet of their own kinds but you cannot believe that Black Americans could receive a prophet from God as the Arabians, Jews and European gentiles have? The Arabians, Jews and European gentiles went on to developing their own scriptures that we ignorant Black Americans apply to ourselves when we are not these people. Their scriptures speak about them and not about Black Americans, am I right. So, why do you all believe that the Arabian, Jews and European Gentile's scriptures is applicable to Black Americans is just baffling to me. If we continue to have this sort of mentality we could never be mentally free to have a country of our own. In our own country we would be governing ourselves based on other people’s scriptures, am I right. So, how could we consider ourselves free? We will always be walking in the shadows of other people’s scriptures, religions, ways and customs. Am I making any sense?

For instance, some Black Americans observe Ramadan and they are not Arabian people. Some Blacks observe Good Friday and they are not European gentiles. Is it not about time that you all would consider that Black Americans are without guidance of their own?

The point that I am making is that Black Americans must start from scratch and we have the help of God as Moses and the children of Israel had when they were brought out of bondage and slavery to become a nation. We have God and we have our own genuine prophet. These of the two major things that we need to move forward, am I right.

Black America's religion is LIFE and not Islam, Christianity or Buddhism. A religion is associated with the race of the people. In other words, you would expect a Muslim to be Arab as Prophet Mohammed was. Likewise, you would expect Judaism to be the religion of Moses and the Jewish people. Similarly, you would expect the religion LIFE to be Black America's religion. Am I making any sense? My concept that religion is associated with race gives credence why prophets are racially different and that God rose up prophets only from among their own kinds. In other words, God did not rise up Prophet Mohammed from among Black Americans, am I right.

Consequentially, the arguments between you all will inevitably continue until you all get out of other people's religion and accept your own religion and prophet that we may move forward to becoming a sovereign people on a fertile portion of this continent that we could call our very own country with borders to worship God, pursue life, liberty, happiness and prosperity in our own way.

What say any of you?

Brothers Saint and Gary, excellent analysis.

My analysis of Surah 3: 83 is that it means, one who has turned away from Allah, do they not know that Allah is the one who has given us life? And unto him we shall return. We live, we die, we will return to Allah.

They turned away in this life, but it is the afterlife where we will be judged, the afterlife where we will be given our book in the right hand or in the left hand.

Hello to all,

Why do you all content your selves with the history of other people and their relationship to God when you Negroes are not these other people? Do you all not feel ignorant to some extent?

It is like a lioness worried more about the Tiger's cubs than her own cubs. The lioness is not a Tiger, yet the lioness is consumed by the ways and habits of the Tiger.

You common suppressed Negroes are just that, Negroes. You Negroes are not Arabian people. You Negroes are not Jewish people. You Negroes are a descendent of plantation slaves. So, why do you Negroes believe that you are in the Quran and the Bible?

I have shown to you that all prophets matched their race. Therefore, your prophet must be a Black American. Was not the Arabian people's prophet and Arabian man? Were not the children of Israel's prophet an Israelite? So why do you Negroes follow behind Prophet Mohammed and the Caucasian prophets in the Bible?

Negroes, the Bible belongs to the Jewish people since they wrote it and they are the people in the Bible. Similarly, the Quran belongs to the Arabian people since they wrote it and the things they wrote about our do things that happened to that am and not be you Negroes!

As a matter of fact, you Negroes were not in existence when the Bible and the Quran was written. So who would have taken the interests in Black Americans (you common suppressed Negroes) and be so gracious to write about us in their religious book? There are no such people that would be so dumb as to use a space, effort, time and energy to include us slave people in their religious book.

The one that is giving you all this divine light does it not make sense to you that person is your genuine prophet? Black America's first genuine prophet is Prophet Harry. Am I making any sense?

Tell me what you think.

IRMA....Sis. Siebra is correct in that that ARE SIMILARITIES in the Holy Quran and the Bible. If one was to read the entire bible and entire Quran, they would find passages about some of the same historical places. For instance, the events that lead to the destruction of the people during Prophet Noah and the flood; Prophet Lot and Sodom and Gomorrah, and prophet Moses and Egypt. In each of these case, these holy books depicts what led up to the anger of GOD such that he had to bring destruction to the people that had gone far astray.

In both books, it treats the son of Mary as an annointed one though the Bible later treats Jesus and God's actual son when the Quran treats him as another prophet. In short, though the differances are paramount...there are similarities in both books.

Hello to all,

There are no singularities between the Quran and the Bible. What is in the Quran about the Bible is what the Arabian people arbitrarily put into Quran.
For instance, if you want to know the true story about Moses you should consult the Bible since the Bible is the testimony of the Jewish people and Moses was a Jew himself. The Quran cannot tell you anything about Hebrew prophets. Am I making any sense with you?

However, what's most important is that neither the Quran nor the Bible belongs to Black Americans. If either book had belonged to Black Americans then we would be in the book under such names as Colored People, Negroes, African Americans or Black Americans. In addition, our Prophet Harry would have been mentioned as well.
For example, in the Bible the prophets are all Jewish people. The other people that I mentioned in the Bible are their because of the relationship the Hebrew people had with them. Likewise, the prophet that is mentioned in the Quran is the Arabian Prophet. The Jewish and Ethiopian people that are mentioned in the Quran are there because they had something to do with the Arabian people. White America will be mentioned in our book because of the extraordinary relationship we have had to them.

I told you all before that our religious book is forthcoming and I, Prophet Harry will be mentioned in our book. It will be through me that God will work through bringing everything that I say to pass. Did not God bring to pass what Moses said? Did not God bring to pass what Prophet Mohammed said?

You all are simply not connecting the dots and that is because your physical eye the slave master preserved but your mental eye the slave master destroyed. It is mighty fine job to restore your mental eye. When your mental and physical eyes come together is when you all will have 20/20 vision.

I am the way, and besides me, there is no other way that Black Americans could ever become a real people in this world.

Tell me what you think.
