The Flava Unit hit a home run with this new romantic comedy, Single Ladies which premieres Monday at 9 a.m. on VH1. The show stars Stacey Dash as Val, a business woman who may be pregnant by her ex; LisaRaye McCoy as Keisha an ex-video vixen whose past comes back to haunt her after meeting Mr. Right; and newcomer Charity Shea as April a white woman who married early, has a preference for black men, and is having an affair on her black husband. Set in Atlanta, the series follows the girlfriends through their adventures of being single down South.
Guest stars for the pilot included Common, Eve and Chili from TLC. Future guest stars include Terrell Owens, Rick Fox, and Queen Latifah herself. The writing on this show is smart and snappy. Lots of plot twists.Nice cars, Elaborate sets and club scenes. I LOVE the supporting cast. The minor characters are just as interesting as the leads.
Monday nights just developed more swagger. Hot-lanta is in the house. The Fava Unit has a hit on their hands. Yeah us!!!
