In 1946, Dr. W. D. Hambly and Dr. Henry Field of the Chicago Natural History Museum published a pamphlet (from which the enclosed photo is taken) classifying Ethiopians and Somalians as "White Stock" and Central Africans as "Negro Stock" which is a pathetic distortion of the facts... However, they were in the mainstream of Anthropology, not on the lunatic fringe. In this way, Anthropologists are responsible for promoting racism in the 19th and 20th centuries.
