In the midst
Of evening glow
An image appears
To take the show.
Varying shades
Of red and yellow
Quiet, serene, subdued
And mellow.
Blades of grass
Weed and cattails
Off shore
Baring no nails.
A shadow appears
Creating a hole
Accents and enhanses
The shades of gold.
