The soul is LIFE, The spirit is a form of ENERGY that can penetrate and manipulate life. For instance, food is a type of energy (spirit) that penetrates you (soul-life) and helps you survive. If you deny yourself of food and nourishment (the right nourishment), you can suffer and die from malnutrition!

In the Bible breath was the very substance of God, breathed into our nostrils by our creator, a spark of the divine energy lent to you for a length of time on this earth (the breath of life).
