This is a salute to Gabrielle Douglass, America's Darling. She made history. I went back and looked at the previous "Darlings" of America and the world and found that she out shined many of the previous ones. If they had not changed the scoring method, she would be right there with Nadia Comanichi, Olga Korbet, and Mary Lou( Rhette?). She made her body do things that seemed impossible for the human body to do.
THEN, we had some crabs in the bottom of the bucket trying to tear her down. They couldn't find anything else to say so they went to her hair and her representing 'All Black Women" Excuse me, what have you done lately? She did not represent me, she represented America and did a magnificant job doing so. It is a shame that the world is full of small minded people and they can't find anything to do but to degrade a child.
Congratulation Gabrielle, I am so so proud of you and I wish you only the best. Ignore ignorance! Keep up the good work, and I will look you you in Rio. WE love you.
