What Has The President Done For Blackfolks? (500 hits)

For all you Blackfolks who wonders if President Obama has spoken to your needs---YES---IF HE WAS ONLY in the Whitehouse, sucking air, he has broken the glass ceiling thus speaking to at least one of your issues. Yes, the Whitehouse is attainable for a man or woman of color. But tats's not all he has done.

Anything he does to improve the United States speaks to your needs. If the country goes down the toilet, you will go with it. Creating jobs, bring our men and women home from an ill-conceived war, speaks to your needs. Saving jobs, homes, health care etc. speaks to your needs.

In the past, did you ask Bush, Clinton, Bush, Carter, Reagen, Ford, or any of the other candidates did they speak to your needs? If you are talking about hand-out, they have been more detrimental than good. I guess Romney will spoke to your needs in his 47% comment. That alone should make you vote for the President. In that statement alone, he lets you and the word know what he thinks about you.

The comment about voting for The President because he is black is a slap against your intelligence, You are not intelligent enough to reason that he does have a plan and his opponent does not. Did anybody ask the question of those who are NOT voting for him because he is Black? Turn about is fair play. WE ALL KNOW THAT MANY DID NOT VOTE FOR HIM THE FIRST TIME AND WILL NOT VOTE FOR HIM THIS TIME J U S T because he is Black.

What else did he do? He brought BACK to the whitehouse the class and grace of Jackie Kennedy and Nancy Reagan. Our first lady is approachable, confident and smart. She is not controlled by convention. She makes her own statement as a representative of the United States. She and Jill Biden have brought a level of intellect that has has never before graced the halls of of the Whitehouse. They are not an embarrassment.

So, Stop being guided by the Race ploy. Race is not the Only issue. It is used to divert the focus because the other group knows that all they have to do is mention the word Race and Blackfloks will go off the deep in. NO, they don't like you and never will because you are his greatest threat. Now we have put that question to rest, lets go to the real issues. ARE YOU A CITIZEN OF THIS COUNTRY? Then WHAT THE PRESIDENT DOES FOR THIS COUNTRY, HE DOES FOR YOU.

What do you bring to the table? And, as a citizen, you MUST bring your fruits to the table. DON'T BE A DRAG ON YOUR COUNTRY. BE A CONTRIBUTOR.

THANK YOU MS.JOHNSON your words are well taken and I like to add It's no secret I support President Barack Obama. I voted for him in the previous election and I will vote for him come November. As a liberal, I share his political views and I continue to be wowed by his forward thinking initiatives and policies. As an American, I am proud to call him my president. As a black man, I couldn't be more pleased with the way he has represented black men everywhere with his ceaseless demonstration of dignity, superior intellect and unparalleled innovation.

I have yet to find the words to describe the overwhelming sense of satisfaction I felt on Nov. 4, 2008 when Obama won the popular vote by 53 percent. With tears in my eyes, and joy in my heart, I stood alongside people of color across the nation as we celebrated America's first inauguration of a black president. As a young black man, I felt a true sense of patriotism as I witnessed our country rally together to show, finally, that we are more concerned about who is the most qualified man for the job, regardless of race or age. As Obama so simply, yet eloquently, stated during his celebration speech -change had come to America -a change we so desperately needed after eight painful years of George W. Bush's colossal failure as our nation's leader.

A lot has happened since then. I am loyal to the Democratic Party and to my president, but I am not blind, deaf or dumb. I recognize that Obama has made more than one controversial decision and rocked the boat a time or two in recent years. Sure, he has committed his share of blunders and tripped over his own words from time to time. But, there isn't a president in American history who didn't flub up big time at some point during his administration. While I acknowledge he has made a number of mistakes in recent years, I stand firm in my conviction that Barack Obama is one of the greatest presidents America has ever seen. I believe history will prove this, and with time, he will be remembered in the annals of history as a revered revolutionary.

Mlk said in his speech ''I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character OBAMA is part of the dream !!!!!

Me, when it comes to Mrs. Romney, all I can think of is this woman needs to find someone to teach her how to dress for going out in public...

If our president has not taught our peoples or this planet any thing/ done any thing to help at least to learn how to defend one's self they need to go watch the Rachel Maddow program tonight and then go with Romney and his crew to watch and learn from it what our president has done and is doing in what he has been elected to do...PROTECT ALL OF AMERICA FROM THE THREATS OF IGNORANCE/ ABUSES THAT HE STANDS AGAINST IN ANOTHER BUSH UNDER THE NAME OF ROMNEY BEING IN THE WHITE HOUSE...
