It is my observation that the world we live in, for many years, has been going backwards in time as opposed to moving forward. But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward. [~Jeremiah 7:24] Though change has been welcomed in more ways than one, there should be a concerned objective of growth and prosperity for all. However, some have become so comfortable with the present situation (to include wickedness and living in sin) that they would prefer for things to remain the same; mainly, because they are responsible for manipulating the system in their favor with no thought given to equality or justice to include a diverse population (all). Unfortunately, the longer things remain the same, the greater the possibility of it taking just that long to undo the wrong to make a change. Nonetheless, in order for change to take place, it must be perceived and accepted with a willingness to change. Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue It. [~1 Peter 3:11] And that change would have to encompass a change in the way we think for a committed effort to constitute having an open mind set rather than a selfish closed narrow minded view point.
Worthless thinking produces worthless acts. Be transformed by the renewing of your minds and do not be conformed by this world system [operated on the basis of a Babylonian System or Roman Empire] with the objective to divide and conquer on the basis of control through deceit and exploitation. For, without a doubt, these are critical times and the election of Barack Hussein Obama to the position of the President of the United States could not have come at a better time. However, we must be careful not to view him as being anything other than a man who God has blessed and allowed this victory. Hopefully, this is, unequivocally, the beginning of the change we all need, provided President Obama makes the right choices in being influenced by the right spirit and does not succumb to the influence of false idols or the historical nature of this nation’s power base given the current state of the U.S. today. As referenced in Pastor John K Jenkins’ sermon entitled, A Clarion Call to Prayer, those who have a relationship with God, the Father, Jesus Christ, should pray for the protection and leadership of President Obama. He will be met with many challenges; welcomed as well as unwelcome. Therefore, I pray that he is able to overcome strongholds through wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and discernment with aid from the Holy Spirit and does not succumb to the wearing down tactics of those purposely put in place around him to infiltrate and interfere with a change that will benefit us all.
Because of the house of the LORD our God,

Being a good leader is not about leading; it is about accountability and taking responsibility. Responsibility goes hand-in-hand with integrity which seems to be lacking in the average person today. Many who have, previously, taken an oath to lead us through our government have replaced or compromised their integrity through darkness by doing evil and wicked things giving no thought to the consequences of their actions. How can responsibility be taught when so many people in the world (in high places) pride themselves on doing the opposite of what they know to be right, just and fair. Look at the role of our governing body over the years; government officials, executives and major leading corporations have repeatedly encouraged irresponsibility and referred to it as being business savvy. Some of these same people have questioned Barack Obama’s ability to lead this nation and not on the basis of his potential, but out of fear of possibly not being able to persuade him to lead their way. There are others, as in the past, who question his ability on the basis of skin color and refer to it as a lack of experience.
What level of measurement was equated to George W. Bush’s ability to lead this nation? Could it be his association or connection to his father? How are leaders of major corporations who are responsible for the collapse of our economy chosen for the positions you deem to be so credit-worthy? Yet, we seem to give credence to toxic leaders who have misrepresented the truth - time and time again, but fail to give a man who won the election fairly and outright the same opportunity that has been given to many others before him. Let’s not forget about the election that was believed to have been acquired falsely.
Does President Obama not deserve to receive the same support from all who claim to love America? There was an evident and recognizable division that threatened to enslave us all as we headed towards self-destruction under our former presidential leadership. And no one took the chance or was willing to look at the dangers of this world objectively to see the truth as it was being presented right before our eyes. And yet, you gave one man your blessing to condemn us all, and deny another who wants nothing more than to make things right by attempting to help a nation that is without a soul to recover what was lost.
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers.

For the first time in quite a while, not since John F. Kennedy or Jimmy Carter, in my opinion with no intent of taking anything away from the accomplishments of Bill Clinton, have we had a man in office with whom we could be proud to represent us “all” collectively. Though, I am sure there are many who would disagree, this man has demonstrated through his handling of this election and the charisma of his debates that he is, indeed, spiritual and passionate about leading us in a positive direction. [Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance. ~ Psalm 89:15] President Barack Obama set a precedence for others to follow! He was unmovable and steadfast; he had an agenda and remained on target. Regardless of his competition and the direction they were trying to impose upon him, he stayed focused. He did not allow his mind to be manipulated and he did not allow his emotions or the emotions of others to control the situation. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. [~1 Corinthians 15:58] Although just a man, his candidacy offered hope to many and ignited anger in others. Once again, many of us were reminded of the history of a nation that does not extend equality to us all as you continue to show us, repeatedly, that racism is alive, striving and well. Similar to the behavior and attitudes of those in our past, those same “never fleeing” attributes are present today in those who have condemned the potential of the first African American elected President of the United States before he was officially sworn into office.
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance:
for ye serve the Lord Christ.

Endless attempts have been made to uncover and even create, if possible, anything that could discredit President Obama to the very last minute of his inauguration. An attorney, Philip J. Berg, alleged that Obama was not a U.S. citizen thus making him ineligible for the presidency. Berg claimed Obama was either a citizen of his father's native Kenya or became a citizen of Indonesia after moving there as a small child, but there was no initial thought given to his mother’s nationality or citizenship in addition to the location and recording of his birth, regardless of the nationality of his father or step father. Why would they insult the intelligence of such a man to think he, Obama, would put forth the time and effort to seek the position as president of the U.S. and not do his homework to ensure the necessary compliance as required in accordance to guidelines or policies before announcing his intentions to run?
As many conspiracy theories go, in regards to the direction of politics in America, I am sure there was no stone left unturned by those who were opposed to Obama running for president of the U.S. I can only imagine they spared no expense to have him or those within his family investigated in hopes of finding something to hold over his head that they could use (as blackmail) to prevent him from succeeding in the election or perhaps hope to use during his reign as President at a more appropriate time. It is also my guess that there was nothing to uncover that was worth using, so much thought and consideration was given to the possibility of linking him to the scandal of Illinois Governor Rob Blagojevich provided Blagojevich was willing to perjure himself to implicate President Obama, unjustly. Why else would so much time lapse in determining a plan of action for bringing Federal corruption charges against Blagojevich? There was no time wasted or expense spared when the government authorities decided to set up the former mayor of Washington, D.C., Marion Barry. Blagojevich was allegedly caught on tape criminally compromising himself. Marion Barry, who, was also caught on tape criminally compromising himself was taken into custody and charged immediately? Considering the history of corruption among government officials in the past, what is the probability of there being a classified documented reporting of all the indiscretions and illegal activities not only involving Blagojevich, but others within the Congressional House of Representatives. I am inclined to believe, truth be told, that not one house of representative is without spot or blemish; they have put themselves in a category above us all to do what they wish and not necessarily what is right. It may not be publicized, but that does not mean it is not a truth. And yet, President Obama openly takes the responsibility and willingness to shoulder the blame for the recent indiscretions revealed about members in his cabinet. Something that has nothing to do with him personally! These are people who, often times, are in a better financial position than the citizens they serve as a government official to not only be able to pay their taxes, but they live lavishly with enormous mortgages and no threat of foreclosure. However, they take unnecessary chances like many of their peers because they know they have been able to get away with frauding the very same government they have been commissioned to service as well. In the name of crooked politicians, time and time again, we see those who are instrumental in making laws while breaking those same laws, but enforce the law as it applies to the citizens of the U.S.
Doth God pervert judgment?

In an effort to stimulate the economy, President Obama introduced his Stimulus Package as a plan to benefit us all. Unlike the emergency-type government bailouts that “only” served to rescue major corporations and banks that were in jeopardy of going under, but offered no accountability measures for ensuring they would apply the funds wisely. Congress’ inability or unwillingness to address such issues, prior to President Obama, is an indication of not only their loyalty to the Bush Administration for irresponsibility, but a shared responsibility for the corruption that seems to be prevalent and growing amongst them and those they seem more concerned about rescuing than the citizens they should be serving to protect. Initially, with good intentions, Congress saw the need and aided in developing or devising a plan to create government agencies; such as, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Environmental Protection Agency, Federal Trade Commission, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Department of Justice, Securities Exchange Commission, and Regulatory Affairs just to name a few as a measure to ensure compliance in certain areas of the government and private sector businesses. Long before the Bernie Madoff and Wall Street scandal, such agencies as the Securities Exchange Commission have failed to perform their purpose.
Unfortunately, the rise in unaccountability across the board has damaged us in more ways than one. The U.S. as a whole failed to serve the citizens and President Obama is attempting to put us back on track. However, as indicated above, change would have to encompass a change in the way we think for a committed effort to constitute having an open mind set rather than a selfish closed narrow minded view point as displayed by our Congress today in not agreeing to President Obama’s “Stimulus Package.” In my opinion, there reluctance is an indication of a viable plan being put into action that will work. Therefore, the objective is to keep him from succeeding at doing what they know for certain he is more than capable of doing, being the best President the U.S. needs given all the problems that have been handed to him. And seems to be up for the challenge when so many are expecting him to fail including those who sit with him in Congress! So I ask, “Where is the Integrity?”

As a political ploy in the history of America, we have received many promises of change that have never been carried out. We have also been given the illusion of change that never saw the light of day. People, unfortunately, have been more afraid of change than they have been willing to admit. They have allowed themselves to fear the unknown while being held captive in a place and time that showed no evidence of change ever being a possibility. We, unfortunately, have been in bondage or captivity for so long that we forgot what it was like to be free. Freedom does not come without a price, but the price of bondage that limits the mind and renders us helpless to ignorance is an even greater cost. There is a thin line between influence and control.
How great is your influence? Are you motivated to influence others in a positive manner or negatively to incite fear as a means of control? Does your anger and hatred for another go so deep that you are willing to leave nothing to the future of your children? Are you that driven by greed and pride that you are unwilling to work together as a nation to achieve a common goal that would be beneficial for us all in the long run? That sense of selfishness and desire of controlling wealth in limiting others from receiving it, contributed to the collapse of our economy. And today, one of the major issues besides the rise in incompetent, cynical evil, political and corporate leaders which is the leading root cause of the collapse of the national economy due to what was allowed by those in power is social injustice on the basis of inequality.
When a world disaster strikes, it affects us all. Katrina did not seek to single out victims on the basis of inferiority over superiority. Katrina and many disasters like it, bring about devastation on all in its path and levels the playing field on the basis of equality. Yet, unlike those affected by the Tsunami, the Katrina victims who are citizens of the U.S. are still suffering as many are without adequate living quarters on the basis of man’s lack of humanity and inequality called double standards (very prevalent and considered to be the norm in this day and age). The role of the government is to serve the needs of its citizens as best as the economy will allow. But there seems to be something extremely wrong with that concept in the sense of it being nonexistent. Too often, we have been forced to watch corrupt executives grease the palms of greedy politicians through lobbyist in exchange for written policies and laws that illegally take away the rights of citizens. For the past eight (8) years, the Bush Administration made great strides in condemning us to the past. Blinded by darkness, we have allowed ourselves to be held captive to the past as we continue to wage war against each other based on prejudices that have taken our minds off of the importance of humanity and justice for all.

Did no one pay attention to President Obama’s efforts to bring us all together as a nation during his inauguration through a concept called UNITY? Perhaps we were all too busy condemning his choices to notice the significance of his intent to recognize diversity. Overall, diversity is the reality of living in a global community that encompasses and embraces differences. A difference in characteristics such as: age, culture, disability, education, ethnicity or nationality (race), gender, language, religion, s*xual orientation and marital or parental status. Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah. [~Jeremiah 33:14]
