Take a look at the so called Black community,(back then they were NEGROES), before intergration they were more independent, and more self sufficient. They were not begging for handouts. They had more pride and wanted to control their own lives. The idea was to stay out of prison instead of making sure that you went.They didn't give them money then either. In fact, now you have more money available and you are doing less with it. New textbooks, computers and riding the bus to the white school did not help the lot of some at all. In fact, they went backwards. What is wrong with this picture?
