Many rank and file Christians sincerely believe the Bible is a direct communication from God to man. I know I used to believe it was when I was a Christian. And from recent conversations with many sincere Christians I know this is currently true for many believers. Once it is proven to our God-given reason that the Bible is strictly a man-made collection of mythology the mind loses yet another shackle of "revelation" and is soon on its way to full freedom and progress. The Bible was not handed to mankind by God, nor was it dictated to human stenographers by God. It has nothing to do with God. In actuality, the Bible was VOTED to be the word of God by a group of men during the 4th century. Emperor Constantine, who was Roman Emperor from 306 CE until his death in 337 CE, used what motivates many to action - MONEY! He offered the various Church leaders money to agree upon a single canon that would be used by all Christians as the word of God. The Church leaders gathered together at the Council of Nicaea and voted the "word of God" into existence FACTS - "Therefore, one can easily argue that the first Christian Bible was commissioned, paid for, inspected and approved by a pagan emperor for church use

The early Christians were gnostics but the teaching was corrupted to what we now have today. The true teaching was declared heretical, the writings destroyed (but some monks had the foresight to bury their collection, to be discovered 1600 years later), Paul's writings edited, and even the order of the books of the New Testament used to perpetuate the untruth. Paul's writings are the earliest, around 50 AD, while Luke's are as late as 120 AD. But the gospels are put first, as if they are history, then Paul so he appears to be expounding on history.
We have corroboration from Philo in his treatise on the embassy to Gaius of the persecution of the Jews, and it was that persecution that led to the formation of the church. Christ represented the church, the body that was collectively executed but still lived on (resurrected) in faith.
However, traces of the true teaching survive in Paul's writings. In 1 Corinthians 2 he says:
So when I came to you, brothers, I did not come with extravagant speech or wisdom declaring the sacred secret of God to you. 2 For I decided not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ, and him executed on the stake.
He first taught the metaphor as reality, because they were immature, but then he says:
6 Now we speak wisdom among those who are mature, but not the wisdom of this system of things nor that of the rulers of this system of things, who are to come to nothing. 7 But we speak God’s wisdom in a sacred secret, the hidden wisdom, which God foreordained before the systems of things for our glory.
There are other verses about this sacred secret:
Eph 3:5, 6 In other generations this secret was not made known to the sons of men as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by spirit, 6namely, that people of the nations should, in union with Christ Jesus and through the good news, be joint heirs and fellow members of the body and partakers with us of the promise.
Col 2:2 This is so that their hearts may be comforted and that they may be harmoniously joined together in love and may have all the riches that result from the full assurance of their understanding, in order to gain an accurate knowledge of the sacred secret of God, namely, Christ.
Ro 16:25, 26 Now to Him who can make you firm according to the good news I declare and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the sacred secret that has been kept in silence for long-lasting times 26but has now been made manifest and has been made known through the prophetic Scriptures among all the nations according to the command of the everlasting God to promote obedience by faith;
Eph 3:8, 9 To me, a man less than the least of all holy ones, this undeserved kindness was given, so that I should declare to the nations the good news about the unfathomable riches of the Christ9and should make everyone see the administration of the sacred secret that has been hidden through the ages in God, who created all things.

Not all of Paul's writings are authentic though. Even if he was a madman he still left clues. and the biggest one is the body of Christ. Even today we talk of a society as a body, such as the body politic. The body of Christ is the church - that was the body bruised and broken. The church survived by faith. The Jews were persecuted by the Romans, as they had been by oher allophyles previously, for hundreds of years. They were persecuted only because they were a different ethncity and the Romans had taken their resources. They're defense was unity, just as our defense is today.

Why the gentiles got interested in this religion is another question. I'm rereading Burton Mack about the letters to the Corinthians, in Who Wrote the New Testament. It's even better the second time around. If you've not seen this book I highly recommend it.

African Christian people in general refer to themselves as gentiles and this is a major problem because we are not gentiles, PAUL was speaking to the Romans thus he refers to the Romans/ Europeans as gentiles please note PAUL did not exist

I see now how during White American services they are able to quietly set and listen to the program, while Blacks think that they will gain special favor when they rise the roof. Some people believe that members should be shunned if they don't follow the preachers orders, because the Bible says many times that if a man loves not the lord Jesus, let him be accursed. I've heard the lukewarm statements that turned me against attending.
