Florida Lawmaker Frederica Wilson Faces Threats After Criticizing Trump by The Associated Press WASHINGTON — A Democratic congresswoman is facing threats after she criticized President Donald Trump over his remarks to the widow of a soldier killed in Niger, her office said Thursday. Four-term Rep. Frederica Wilson has remained in Florida this past week and missed several House votes, including Thursday's close budget vote. "She chose to stay home for safety reasons. For now, Republicans sidestepped divisions within the party by voting 216-212 to permit them to begin work on a $1.5 trillion tax cut without fear of blocking tactics by Democrats.
Trump responded with insulting tweets, calling Wilson "wacky" and accusing her of secretly listening. White House Chief of Staff John Kelly called her an "empty barrel" and mischaracterized her comments years earlier at a FBI building dedication.

So the media got the story on 10/18. The AP sat on it until 10/26. NBC regurgitated it the same day, mashing it together with Joy Reid's story on 10/22. Then on 10/27 Ron Gray went hunting for something juicy and posted it to the Pro-Argi crowd, via Twitter via BIA. ?

There is more to the timeline. The story of these threats was released Thursday morning, a couple hours before the vote. Released in a peculiar way.
“She’s home,” Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-Fla.) told the Miami Herald.
“I have not spoken with her about it, but I’ve heard that she’s received substantial death threats and I think she is doing everything she can to ratchet down and let some of us, including me, take over.”
The last time Wilson voted was on Oct. 12.
A source told the newspaper that "nothing else would keep her from voting," adding that there are investigations into the threats she has faced.

She was one of five that did not vote. If she would have voted, the count would have been much closer that 216 YEA to 212 and that is all it would have been. Now the future is in the hands is back in the hands of the Republicans.

The math is interesting. The vote was 216-212. If both Democrats had voted Nay, it would have been 216-214. If all three Republicans had then voted Nay, it would have been 216-217, and the measure would have Failed.
