Delta, United join list of companies cutting ties
By Ken Sweet, Damian Troise and Alexandra Olson, Associated Press

NEW YORK - The National Rifle Association, and now the State of Florida, faced a growing backlash Saturday as companies cut ties to the gun industry following the latest school massacre, and student survivors called for tourism boycotts of their home state until gun control measures are enacted.

The latest companies to end their ties with the NRA were Delta and United Airlines, two of the three largest U.S.-based airlines.

The interesting thing is that many members like myself, didn’t even know about these discounts. But now we know whom to boycott.

Something that many seem to forget or be unaware of, is that there are many millions of American sportsmen who support the NRA, not just the 5 million dues paying members.

Then let your weak protest begin. That would be interesting, "Ha!!!" Wayne LA Pierre's (NRA) is losing millions of dollars now.

The reason why you did not know of these businesses and their contribution to NRA membership is because of either poor management or you just don't read with understanding, because it has been in front of you all of the time. WOW!!!

What it means Ron is that I paid for a lifetime membership to protect gun rights, not get some piddling discounts. And I didn’t call for any stupid protest, but in the future when I fly, I’ll pass over United and Delta, given a choice. United is a crappy airline anyway.

Protect gun rights is one thing and what your gun club offers is another. Good luck on your protest.
