Could The #CRAZYdontmeanSTUPID Movement Negatively Affect Social Security ? (680 hits)

Economy and Culture / Disabled Entrepreneurs

by Anonymous

Many are not yet aware of the #CRAZYdontmeanSTUPID movement started by a mentally disabled entrepreneur named King Nazir Muhammad. But this movement was originally intended to spotlight the professional accomplishments made by disabled Americans. The first or course being Muhammad himself who is creator of a new online church/school called Black $yientology.

But analyst are seeing a deeper meaning in the phrase that could possibly trigger placing the spotlight on the fact that many disabled Americans can actually work. A theory angry taxpayers and lawmakers are already debating in town hall meetings across the nation.

The founder of this movement has stated publicly that he suffers from a rare condition called schizoaffective disorder. The cause of this illness is not fully understood, but it is sighted to only affect 3% of the world population. But the condition is very severe and it is hard to believe that anyone who suffers from it could function at all.

But lo and behold, Muhammad has managed to create a growing online business without grants or loans or any outside assistance whatsoever. And the website is quite remarkable for someone in his mental state, and he declares it as an example to the nation that the mentally challenged can be productive.

And that may very well be the problem, because many will argue that Muhammad's case is unique and should not be used to say " if he can do it anyone can ". But it is hard to deny the fact that someone with such a severe disability could create their own business from scratch, and others with lesser impairments cant.

So what started as a way to showcase a "few" has turned into a way to place a microscope on the 48 million Americans who claim to be unable to work.

NEW POLL : Could #CRAZYdontmeanSTUPID be a testament to the benefits of mental health therapy ? Or could it mean that many who receive disability are simply using it as an excuse to sit around and do nothing ?
