He made his choice Ron, leave him alone. Didn't they teach you to grab ANYTHING you could get your hands on when you wrestled?

Forcing that High School Wrestler to cut his Dreadlocks Or Forfeit that Match, That was not the referee's call at all. If by chance this High School Wrestler hair was grab, that action would have constituted a violation which is that referee's duty to make that call.

YOUR QUESTION: Didn't they teach you to grab ANYTHING you could get your hands on when you wrestled?

MY REPLY: NO!!!

What is the rule about hair length Ron? Why didn't this student follow the rule by forfeiting the match? When I was young and on the swim team we cut our hair so it wouldn't slow us down. We didn't choose wrestling because we thought it was gay to grab an opponent by the balls.

….MAY I ALSO be truthful and candid about the 50-60s

We didn't choose long hair because we thought it was unclean and gay NOT to comb your head, or conk IT....

That is right robert, when you said: "We didn't choose long hair," that was your call and no one else's, is that RIGHT?

Even after all that, that High School Wrestler that was Forced To Cut Dreadlocks, came away with the VICTORY.

He chose to be a winner Ron. Why do you want to turn him into a woosy?

Champion's are no woosy. just ask that poor little boy who lost in that competition, who is a woosy, Steve. LOL!!!

So stop whining about his haircut.

Why, you know for a fact that the referee in this case was wrong as hell and his motives will be investigated because that referee went beyond his job classification with that call. Now I like the fact that the High School Wrestler who was Forced To Cut his Dreadlocks kicked as and became Champion and walked away in victory despite Allan Maloney's efforts to derail that match.

Now take into account the FACT that Andrew Johnson had wrestled before with out any problems with his Dreadlocks, So why is it a problem now? Now according to the report this Ref has a history of being involved in racial altercations before. In my opinion Allan Maloney' needs to be fired, never to call any match as referee again.

So, you want me to shut up about this breaking news, you can forget about that BULL💩 RIGHT NOW!!!

Thank You for this article Steve. This is just more history on Allan Maloney, history dating back to Oct. 4, 2016 this time.

He said he didn't remember saying this word to his good friend, yet he apologized for it. It sounds like they were drunk. It sounds like a pretty ordinary occurrence to now be at the top of the national news.

So you believe the "N" word just slipped out of his mouth. Now if I use the "H" word to my white friends, I would expect a certain startling reaction just like Allan Maloney got and I would not blame them at all.

Now why you are making excuses for the wrongs Allan Maloney did, why Steve?

We don't even know what this particular "N-Word" was, do we Ron? Tell me what it was if I'm wrong.

For instance Ron, when you people slammed Kanye West, one called him a niggro, and another called him a neegro. AND NO ONE SAID A DAMN WORD IN REBUKE.

YOUR COMMENT: We don't even know what this particular "N-Word" was, do we Ron? Tell me what it was if I'm wrong.

MY REPLY: It was a word that got Caucasian Allan Maloney ass kicked by his African American friend. That is ignorance that deserved and got immediate attention, bottom line.

Can you point out anywhere in this report where is mentioned Kanye West?

Thursday, December 27th 2018 at 9:21AM
Dea. Ron Gray Sr.
What I see in this report Ron is outrage, but this outrage is selective and that's where Kanye West comes to mind.

CNN Panel Mocks Kanye West as Trump’s ‘Token Negro,’ Don Lemon Laughs (Video)

A CNN panel hosted by anchor Don Lemon took turns lacing into Kanye West on Tuesday evening, joking that his embrace of President Donald Trump has caused him to be tokenized. Several referred to him using the term “negro.”

“He’s an attention whore, like the president. He’s all of a sudden now the model spokesperson. He’s the token negro of the Trump administration,” said CNN contributor Tara Setmeyer.

“This is ridiculous and no one should be taking Kanye West seriously. He clearly has issues. He’s already been hospitalized,” she continued. “Not to trivialize mental health issues, [but] obviously Kanye has taken a turn in a very strange way.”

Another guest, former Congressman Bakari Sellers, also hit Kanye using much of the same language.

“Kanye West is what happens when negroes don’t read,” said Sellers. “And we have this now and now Donald Trump is going to use it and pervert and he’s going to have someone who can stand with him and take pictures.”

Throughout the bit, Lemon laughed along and joked about the expression of another panelist, CNN contributor Scott Jennings, who appeared visibly uncomfortable.

I asked you a question Steve: "Can you point out anywhere in this report where is mentioned Kanye West?"

I am very sorry but if by chance you think after Trump has taking office, it's now fashionable to call a Black man the "N" word, you are in for a rude awakening.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr.
No Ron your report doesn't mention Kanye West. And I do not take seriously your selective outrage over use of the word Negro and its derivatives, and will not as long as you people claim/imply it is okay to use under ANY circumstance.

When fellow referee Alan Maloney poked his finger in his chest and hurled the epithet at Preston Hamilton, who is African American was a deliberate action and that is the reason why Alan Maloney got his ass kicked, did you over looked that action Steve.

"The catalyst for the quandary came on March 25 in a private shore c*ndominium. That's where a group of officials who’d worked the War at the Shore youth tournament in Wildwood gathered — as these groups tend to do at such events — for some drinks and fellowship."

"Over a disagreement about homemade wine, said Preston Hamilton, who is African American, fellow referee Alan Maloney poked his finger in his chest and hurled the epithet.

"Maloney told the Courier-Post he does not remember using the word at all, let alone directing it at Hamilton, but believes the accounts of witnesses who told him he said the word.

"Hamilton told the Courier-Post he responded by slamming Maloney, who is white, to the ground."

"Maloney says he called Hamilton and apologized to him two days later, on Easter Sunday.

“I left it alone,” Hamilton recalled. “I’ve known Al since I was 4 years old. I was just trying to leave it alone."

Technical Violations

Going off the mat or forcing your opponent off the mat to avoid wrestling ("fleeing the mat.")

Grabbing clothing, the mat, or the headgear

Locked or overlapped hands: If you are down on the mat in control of your opponent, you cannot lock or overlap your hands, fingers or arms around your opponent's body or both legs unless you have met criteria for a near pin of your opponent, or your opponent stands up and has all his/her weight on two feet, or you have lifted the opponent off the mat.

Let me high this line for a moment "Grabbing clothing, the mat, or the headgear"

Johnson, 16, had been wearing a cover to conceal his dreadlocks at the time, but Maloney told the him he would have to chop off his dreads if he wanted to compete in his scheduled match. He would go on to win in overtime, but remained visibly distraught despite the victory.

These rules apply to the type of wrestling done in the United States in College, High School, Junior High, Middle School, and most youth wrestling. This type of wrestling is often referred to as "folkstyle" wrestling.

SITUATION 17: Does braided hair that is non-abrasive need to be contained in a legal hair cover? RULING: If the hair in its natural state is longer than allowed by rule, then it must be contained in a legal hair cover. (4-2-1)

A wrestling official who required an African-American grappler from Buena Regional High School to cut his dreadlocks or forfeit his bout in a match against Oakcrest was acting in accordance with the rules, according to multiple South Jersey referees.

According to the National Federation of State High School Associations, wrestlers’ hair cannot extend past the earlobes. If it does, they must wear a legal hair cap to cover it.

Johnson was wearing a cap, but it wasn’t attached to the headgear as the rule requires, according to Buena graduate Ron Roberts, a wrestling referee of more than 20 years.

Johnson would’ve been in compliance in the past, but the rule changed within the past couple of seasons to require the cap to be attached to the headgear, according to Howie O’Neil, who’s officiated for 44 years.

“The interpretation of the rule was applied correctly,” said Roberts, who hadn’t seen the video, but had heard of the incident. “The kid had to have legal head cover by rule or he’s got to cut his hair.”

Wrestling: Buena returns to the mat at Hunterdon Invitational

The story that’s become a focal point of local – and in some cases, national – news continued to lurch forward with the Chiefs’ first return to competition.

I’m still waiting on the investigation report.

Neither Johnson nor his brother Nate traveled with the team Thursday. Albertson confirmed that the decision was made by the brothers and their family.

New Jersey Interscholastic Athletic Association executive director Larry White did attend the event.

“At this point, I’m not sure when the investigation is going to end only in the sense that we have a lot of people we have to get reports from,” White said. “We will need to hear from administrators and coaches from Buena, as well as staff from Oakcrest.

“We also know this student-athlete wrestled the week prior at Southern’s (Robin Leff) tournament, I believe. So, we need to try to find out from Southern’s athletic director as well and possibly other participants there.”

White, an African American, also explained why the NJSIAA was less involved two years ago when Maloney’s incident that occurred at a c*ndominium on Easter weekend of 2016 had come to light.

“We’re involved because this time it affects one of our member schools and it affects one of student-athletes,” White said. “My understanding was in the past, it didn’t involve any NJSIAA member schools at that time.”
