Here's The complaint against Rittenhouse lists six charges: first degree reckless homicide against Joseph Rosenbaum, first degree recklessly endangering safety against Richard McGinnis, first degree intentional homicide against Anthony Huber, attempted first degree intentional homicide against Gaige Grosskreutz, first degree recklessly endangering safety against an unknown male victim, and possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18.
Each felony charge comes with a "use of a dangerous weapon" modifier, which invokes a Wisconsin law that prescribes an addition of no more than five years of imprisonment for each of the charges if found guilty. Possession of a dangerous weapon as a minor, a misdemeanor, is also charged. According to the prosecutors, the gun was "later recovered by law enforcement and identified as a Smith & Wesson AR-15 style .223 rifle".
From Antilock to Kenosha is about 20 to 25 miles away from one another, across State Lines. How did Rittenhouse get home?

All of your questions are good ones if, this 17 year old kid, thought he could go across state lines with one AR-15 style 223 rifle to be a private vigilante to do the job of local police and State guards could not do or would not do, now you have two people dead because of the FOOL that you want to protect.

I don't know about 1-3. Different people say different things and I've been thinking I should look into it. There doesn't seem to be any dispute about the curfew starting at 7 but I haven't heard when it ends. My own thought is, if I can avoid mob violence I will. Having a gun isn't a reason to take unnecessary risks, like when you might be overpowered and the gun taken. 17 years old isn't the most enlightened age.

"It is unlawful for a person under the age of 18 to possess a firearm unless that person is accompanied by a parent or guardian and is target shooting or participating in a firearms training course. The sixth charge is Possession Of A Dangerous Weapon By A Person Under 18. The complaint states Rittenhouse “did go armed with a dangerous weapon.” This charge is a Class A Misdemeanor and has a 9-month prison sentence and or a $10,000 fine if convicted.

1. Steve, It is legal to carry any legal firearm openly in Wisconsin.
2. Kyle Rittenhouse was underage and therefore not allowed to own a weapon of any kind.
3. According to statutes, which say anyone under 18 who "goes armed" with any deadly weapon is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.
4. Illinois law requires anyone who owns any kind of firearm in that state to have a Firearm Owners Identification card.
5. That type of permit is only available to someone 21 or older or someone with a sponsor who is 21 and eligible for a card
