Why do you love that car so much? (286 hits)

I saw a few Blogs today that invoke a lot of hits/ responses. So I thought I'd keep the blood boiling:)

Brothers...why do we love our cars, trucks, bikes, and SUVs more than our ladies or kids? I've seen brother walk in the rain so the wax or rims on the car didn't get wet.

What does that vehicle mean to you ? (...or to your friends if you need play like you're not like that about your ride)

Ladies...why do you think our cars are so important to us...keep it clean.

Men feel so strongly about their cars because they see it as a "chick magnet". If they feel that their ride looks "tight" they feel it may get them that particula type of woman. But in some situations you attract what you put out there, sometimes it could be the wrong thing.

sold my silver bullet 12 years ago and enjoy walking through beautiful San Francisco instead of paying for parking tickets. and walking is more romantic anyway.

it's about maturity... I'd rather have a polished, intelligent and s*xy lady than a car that depreciates as soon as i leave the lot. At least with the women she'd walk in the rain with me if my car wasn't working... I really dont have the love of material items as i once did when I was young...

Traditional, especially in recent years, the ability for a black male to provide enough income to buy something substantial like a house was limited. A house being the traditional status symbol among Anglo Saxons determining and displaying the amount of wealth they have attain. African Americans were cut off from this status symbol because of the economics of the time and of today. So in place I think Black males replaced the house as a symbol of achievement with the car and that is why Black males love that car so much, in my opinion.
