THE BLINDING AFFECTS OF MIS-EDUCATION & MIS-INFORMATION (679 hits)

WHY IS IT HARD FOR A BOY TO DO BASIC MATH BUT AS A MAN HE CAN 'SHOOT DICE' AND SEND HIS CHILDREN TO COLLEGE?

WHY IS IT HARD FOR A CHILD TO COMPREHEND 'SIMPLE ENGLISH' BUT HE CAN 'RAP' YOU INTO A PSYCOLOGICAL BREAK-DOWN?

WHY WAS MY BROTHER SO POOR IN GEOMETRY AND YET WAS ONE OF THE BIGGEST POOL HUSTLERS IN THE COUNTRY?

WHY DO PEOPLE GET ARRESTED FOR GAMBLING IN THE STREETS BUT IT'S OKAY TO DO IN IN VEGAS AND ON WALL STREET?

WHY DO NATURALLY BEAUTIFUL BLACK WOMEN PUT ON UGLY MAKE-UP AND THINK THAT THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL?

WHY IS IT THAT A WOMAN CAN GET A MAN IN TROUBLE FOR 'looking under her dress' BUT SHE GOES TO THE SWIMMING POOL AND/OR THE BEACH WITH BARELY NOTHING ON AND SHE'S OK BEING ADMIRED BY ALL OF THE 'on lookers'?

WHY IS IT THAT WOMEN SPEND LOTS OF MONEY TO WEAR THE 'LATTEST'(INCLUDING VERY TIGHT PANTS, AND OTHER ACCERIES) TO MAKE THEMSELVES LOOK GOOD(OR REALLY NOT SO GOOD) AND THEN CAN'T AFFORD THE MONEY TO GO TO THE DOCTOR TO CORRECT THE PROBLEMS TO THEIR BODIES CAUSED BY SUCH CONTRAPTIONS?

WHY DO WE DEPEND ON OTHERS TO GIVE US APPROVAL FOR THE CREATIONS OF OUR GREAT GOD!!!!!!!........(US, YOU, ME, YALL)?

HOW CAN PEOPLE NOT BELIEVE IN THE LORD BUT AS SOON AS THEY GET IN TROUBLE, THEY SCREAM FOR 'JESUS'!!!!!!!?

Think about it......

We in the nature of the flesh, tend to let the flesh guide us. When we become in the Spiritual, then our motives change us to new living. Many, need to make changes to denying the flesh. Then we will scream Jesus continually. I hope others will see the revelation in these words.

The Bible say we are born in sin and shaped in iniquity. To me salvation is redirecting this natural state. The things you mentioned are learned habits or custom naturals for some. As a doctoral student and a country girl and a new found christian I had to see myself as the prescribed descriptions you mentioned earlier and request a new prescription to help fix the "real" me. Certainly a process not done over night but the introduction to realizing a change is neccessary has made all the difference. When I teach my adult GED students their success lies in redirection and when teaching my ninth graders their success lies in new seeds.

Doc, great post, as always. I think we tend to gravitate toward comfort and ease. Every human being has been given a "measure of faith" and that's why they cry for Jesus even though, in their daily life they don't give Him the time of day.
The fact remains, we all crave LOVE. Sadly, we seek it and find it in distorted ways/places. We often do what we know we should not do, and don't do what we know we should. It is up to those of us who are finding the TRUTH of AGAPE to give it freely, so there is no want or need for anything but God. We need to learn how not to lean on our own understanding, and lean on the one who created understanding and wisdom. He is not a man that He should lie, and with Him all things are possible. His ways are NOT our ways, and that's where most of us get confused and mess things up.
