The Queen's Chair: Kitty Kelley's UnAuthorized Biography on Oprah
Kelley, however, needs to just stop. Why is there a need for this book? Why do we need to know more secrets about Oprah? Personally, I don't want to know. Oprah has been very forth coming about her private life on TV. She disclosed her s*xual abuse by an uncle, an unwanted pregnancy, her struggles to lose weight, dating disasters, and health issues. How much more do people want from her?
Lady O deserves much better than this. She is the most powerful black woman in television and communications today. Kelley is tripping when she says Oprah gave her permission. A straight, accurate story about her life? How can Kelley really claim this when she never talked to the woman face to face?
I question the people she talked to: including Oprah's family members like Aunt Catherine and her father, Vernon Winfrey. They supposedly claim that they don't receive celebrity family treatment from her, (whatever that means) but she has given millions of dollars to them. They are displeased with the celebrity family she has created. Oprah was quoted as saying that "her family treats her like an ATM." Credible sources? Sounds more like sour grapes to me.
Kelley can keep living in her fantasy world. She doesn't care anything about Oprah: she's out to make a buck. Two things I know for sure: I won't be reading this book and you'll never see it on Oprah's Book Club list.
[Lady O deserves much better than this.]
I agree with you on this point, but I will have to let you know that I'm more powerful that Oprah!! (Lol)
