Do They Not Realize…'Yet'? *change is needed*

Not just in my ability to bring about real change in Washington…I’m asking you to believe in yours” ~President-Elect, Barack Obama This commentary was derived from a conversation that I had with several folks where the display of hate and doubt still exist. I suppose it will take some time to accept that change is much needed for our nation. Here is how I perceive President Obama’s vision. I will basically focus on the economy since this is an issue that is at the top of the list of concerns for the American people… Here is how I perceive President Obama’s vision. I will basically focus on the economy to start since this is an issue that is at the top of the list of concerns for the American people… It is a global fact that the United States economy is crumbling, and at lighting speed, even more so since the election of President Obama. President Obama’s policies promise, in order to heal our economy we must first start with the working class. We are ALL concerned about the economy, young, Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, Native American…The poor and the already wealthy. However, President Obama’s intended plan toward healing the economy is not being received well with the heavily invested corporations and the already wealthy. They shun the thought of President Obama “Spreading the Wealth.” In actuality, President Obama is NOT spreading the wealth. He is attempting to open doors and windows, which will allow the working class breathing room to becoming wealthy through opportunities and hard work; opportunities that have not been attainable for many and for a very long time; this includes better and less expensive healthcare plans. Of course the already wealthy do not wish to be hit with the new tax plan proposed for those earning $250,000.00. President Obama’s vision in this aspect WILL offset the deficit, thus allowing more purchasing power…Having more spending power ALWAYS help the economy. Now, in just a few days after Barack Obama was elected President of the United States, stocks continues to fall, reaching record high due to the fear of the imposed higher tax bracket no doubt. Many are pulling their investments out, most likely are planning to trust more of their money in foreign stocks…Again, doing more harm to our economy and increasing the surplus of foreign countries. What a shame! Do they not realize, for it is the working class that will bring this economy to flourish? If we can get the working class Americans to spending again, businesses will do well. To do this the proposal of cutting taxes for the working class and increasing those who are in the tax bracket of $250.000.00 is definitely a feasible start. After all, it is about 95% of the working class that are holding on to their money right now due to the economic crunch we are currently experiencing. This is why so many businesses are falling to the wayside, laying off their employees. For without the spending of the working class, businesses small and large go under. Correct me if I am wrong. I do not hold a degree in economics. However, I do have common business sense. I also perceive President Obama’s plans to heal America by supporting American made products; buy at home and sell at home. We need to be more self-efficient and stop depending on other countries to bail us out. When we do this, it is like selling our soul’s to foreigners and they have the sense of owning AMERICANS. (My personal perception) How can we be so dang blind? When we build and support our own, we keep our money here in America where it will do the most good…Building Our Country Strong! I could never understand why so many well invested folks of America trust their money in foreign stock. I simply cannot grasp that. Also, if we stop meddling in the affairs of other countries and pay more attention to our own affairs, we would not have to worry about fighting wars and loosing sleep at night for fear of ****attacking our country. We talk about “Country First”; I think we have had it twisted for decades. How can we tell ourselves and actually believe that we put our country first when we are actually selling our souls and our land to other countries?
