Loving Your Black Mate In Hard Times

Katherine, the main blogger here, encouraged this post:

It is important that we remain loving and caring in our relationships with one another as times get harder. We should be focusing on remaining supportive and peaceful as we face trying and challening times.

Is it not true that we are better off remaining supportive and peaceful in hard times?
Being the opposite will only make things worse, I believe. Do we need things to be worse while our economy continues to look bleak?

By nature, we are very loving, caring and supportive people. Ossie Davis and Ruby D proved this, Will and Jada Pinket Smith are proving this as examples of loving, caring and supportive Black couples. I am sure that we all know of these types of examples.

How are you loving your Black mate if he/she has lost their job?

What kinds of discussions are you having in the midst of this ecnomic challenge facing America?

I am sure there are all kinds of discussions going on in Black households across the country.

I can't speak on the mate, but for my male friends I find that an "ear" is a start, a smile is a bridge and a hug is a great finish.
