Put Away The Xbox, says Obama

Posted By: Devon Marshall on July 31, 2009 Put Away The Xbox, says Obama Ever since video games got under the eyes of politicians, it has been a shaky relationship between both of them. If it was up to them they would send us back to the stone age but thankfully we still get to play games like Bioshock and will get to play God Of War 3. But this is what you don't want; your company being the target of **** by an international hero Barack Obama. President Obama who strangely was for video games at the start of his campaign now openly disses Microsoft in a recent speech at the NAACP 100th anniversary event. During the speech he said: “We can’t tell our kids to do well in school and fail to support them when they get home. For our kids to excel, we must accept our own responsibilities. That means putting away the Xbox and putting our kids to bed at a reasonable hour.” Wow for Microsoft fanboys that's a punch to the gut and its the same case for the PS3 cult too. Why put away the Xbox? Why not the PS3 or the Nintendo Wii? It's kind of funny isn't it? Even though President Obama took a swipe at Microsoft in an international conference, it kind of states that Microsoft is still **** the consoles era. So props to Microsoft. Microsoft however were not contented with just this. Even though we understand that President Obama was talking about video games as a whole, this just didn't do it for Microsoft. Hence they took the President’s slight condemnation and spun it into a positive point. VIBE-ON! Side Bar: I LOVE MY PRESIDENT!!!
