BLACK FATHERS DOCUMENTARY by XUNE23 XUNE23 is doing a BLACK FATHERS DOCU. It's good it features some good everyday daddies. We need their example, with 6-7 out of 10 daddies not in the daily lives of children in our culture. No doubt there are great daddies out there. My book talks about that. There are great daddies in my family and I know a bunch of them in other familes!!! Let's all appreciate those daddies that are tirelessly working inside the family unit or from across town to love and nurture their children. This is what we need!! But I caution you to resist getting into a cocoon, where you don't recognize my serious concern about the matter that is trouble for us and for our children's generation. I address the problem for so many in the book, BLACK MEN STOP!. http://blackmenstop.ning.com There are youngsters, that you see and hear about all the time and many you don't, who are doing all kinds of mischief, hurting their lives and the lives of their families because they don't have you. Strong daddies should resist being so focused on their own joy that they can not see the power of the difficulties many children in our culture face day in and day out. This would not be such a problem if we had more "GOOD DADDIES" than bad in our culture. But we don't and DADDIES ARE IMPORTANT!!! Find work to do that will encourage absent fathers, unprepared mothers, lacking children. Ask all your "GOOD DADDY" friends to help. Yes, it's going to take a village to clean up the mess. Yes, it's going to take a village to clean up the mess.” You are entirely out of the loop. Our problems are deeper than having good daddies. We need to become a sovereign people or have complete independence on a portion of this continent that we could call our very own country with borders and we are going to inherit such a portion, yet. We need our hands on the helm of our own destiny. Black Americans exist within White America and we have no control over what we do, what we want and what we need. For instance, we are similar to a child in an abusive home. To reverse and correct the abusiveness the child must first be removed from the home. Does that make any sense to you, Ms. Smallwood? We, as a people, need more than a village to clean up the mess. It will take an anointed one of our kind from God to lead us into sovereignty on a portion of this continent. We need no less the help that God gave to the Hebrew people when they were in bondage in Egypt. Dr. King said that we as a people will get to the Promised Land and that is our sovereignty or complete independence on a portion of this continent.
