I'm a Buudhist teacher. From the Buudhist perspective there will never be a stable peace in one's heart until we fully accept what happens around us and what has happened to us is nothing other than an opportunity to transform ourselves into comassionate and loving beings. We cannot change the word around us, nor can we change the past. Things happen and not all of it is good. One thing we know for sure, we are not immune to the world we live in. Isolation is fine but can one forever isolate her or him self? No. To develop a deep sense of patience, tolerance, compassion, joy, love especially for oneself come what may is the only sane and stable solution. When you can live this way everywhere life will become easier. Not perfect, just easier. This is the way it has always been even before Africans walked out of Africa. - Lama Rangdrol

It is difficult to instill immeasurable compassion in others until you have come to know it personally in your own heart. When you become a living example of compassion, then and only then will people follow your role model. This is the most efficient, powerful, and effective way to instill compassion in others.
