Posted By: L Guy Burton on November 11, 2010 As a writer, I am dismayed by the lack of enthusiasm book agents and publishers have shown toward my latest manuscript titled "Diary of an 'N-Word' ". This very important untold story of what a young "colored' boy experiences growing up in the 50's in New Jersey--not the South--invariably is rejected by agents and publishers with the reply, "It's a compelling account but not right for us."
