Today's WTF Moment: Black Man With 30 Kids Wants a Break

Today turnabout is fair play as we spotlight Desmond Hatchett, a man with 30 children by 11 different women. With all of these illegitimate children to support (on his minimum wage salary) Desmond is now asking for a break on his child support payments. WTF?!? Desmond Hatchett, a 33 year-old man from Knoxville, Tennessee has fathered 30 children ranging in age from 14 years old to less than a year. He is now asking for a break from the state for his child support payments. Hatchett already has part of his meager paychecks taken from him and divided amongst the women, with some receiving as little as $1.49 a month. In 2009 Hatchett appeared before the court and promised he wold not father any more children - and then proceeded to have 9 more in a 3 year span. He has had 2 years where he has fathered 4 children. Absent Black fathers is a huge problem in the United States, and although this is an extreme case, there are are still too many Black men willing to father children with no regard for how they will support them. If we are to rise as a people we need to first and foremost take responsibility for the family as this is the key for any people to rise. This brother shames us all. Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed holy. Adulterers, and fornicators will be judged. We must honor marriage as a holy institution for the purpose of protecting society from broken homes. A nation is as strong as the indivual homes that make up that nation. Faithfulness in marriage is the key to having a happy home. Temptation will come in marriage, but remember every temptation that comes to man is common, and God is faitful who will not allow us to be tempted above what we are able to bear. He provides a way to escape so that we can bear it. Let us set the example and be good fathers, and faithful husbands to one woman.

He has had 2 years where he has fathered 4 children. ... I think that there should be an exception to the law in this guys case. He's reckless and I think he has a mental health issue, because what man in his "right mind" would father (that many) children knowingly without the sufficient means to take care of them? Shouldn't he be held accountable for his actions especially when its costing others (taxpayers)? This is morally wrong as well as an abomination (if there was such) in my opinion. “DUDE IN JAIL” 33 YEAR OLD DAD DIDN’T FATHER 30 KIDS (BlackMediaScoop) My head is really spinning right now. Remember the Tennessee man who impregnated a large portion of Knoxville’s female population–and reportedly fathered 30 children in the process? Well the facts are finally coming in and it appears that the guy was NOT in court as the media has reported and he does NOT have 30 kids. He still has a LOT but not 30 kids. The story of Desmond Hatchett’s fertility–and his inability to pay child support–came back in the news this week after a Memphis TV station reported that the 33-year-old “was back in court this week” seeking the state’s help with his support payments. Read the link above and it seems there is a lot of misinformation about this man. 24 kids instead of 30 kids is still nothing to be proud of. I apologize to anybody for contributing to any misinformation about this man and Jen Fad good looking out.

@ Brother Darrel, I also posted a blog on him some time before you and it said he had 21 kids. Apparently there are people out there trying to hype this guy's fertility up for ratings or something.
