However, you may not know what to do in case you want to make a transaction online and you need to communicate to a seller or a buyer through emails who you don’t really know in person. Well you do not necessarily have to use your private email address in such situations. If that is the case, you may just need a disposable email account. This is an email account that you use for a certain purpose mainly because you do not want to use your primary email address which you have reserved for more personal matters. Pros With a disposable email account, you will not get spam messages through your primary email account since you will not be giving it out when doing online dealings. A lot of spammers get the email addresses that they use online when one uses their main account to transact or to register on a site that is compromised. Once you avoid using your primary email address, spamming will be the least of your worries because the chances of your email getting into the wrong hands will be greatly diminished. Your identity will not be known to online scammers because a disposable email account will help you hide it from scammers that may be targeting you. There are all sorts of people on the Internet and one has to be careful because you will not know a genuine from one that is out to practice malicious activities. You can also use the disposable email account to find the person or site provider that sold out your identity to spammers. If for instance you used your actual email address on one site and you start receiving spam messages, you can use this email account in order to be certain that it is that site provider that sold you out to spammers. Once you know this, you can avoid the site and scammers from it.
