Should age be a determinig factor

Posted By: GREGORY GULLEY on July 29, 2008 All First I want to give thanks to our Creator for making this possible for us to meet on level ground and show support for each other. As I view the various members on this site I wonder should age be a determinig factor in ones desire to see a better Black or African America? I came across one profile of a high school student who is desireous of learning from many of you, but honestly should age be factored in to how we as "Socially-Conscious" folk deal with each other? I'm a bona-fide "security guard" with 20 years experience that has sent me to Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey, Spain Israel, and Egypt. I seen the atlantic and Pacific oceans in the same week, and crossed the Red Sea Aboard an Aircraft carrier on my way to the Persian Gulf. So I have to ask questions from a standpoint of seeking knowledge and for the past 2 decades I've seen the world, but some of you have learned the world thru higher level study and the obtaining of multiple degrees. Hi room, honestly I don't believe that age should be a factor. If she is a high school student shouldn't that be a great thing that she wants to learn from those with more knwoledge. I think that is beautiful thing. If she doesn't become socially-conscious now then when? Even yourself and I would be more than eager to sit and listen to a wise elder if they had knowledge to share. Also Gregory, you've seen the world by travelling in 2 decades but don't measure your experience, education or wisdom by someone with multiple degrees.
