I think the church needs to meet them where they are rather than expect them to come up to their level. There are practical ways the church can do this like having a powerful and exciting youth ministry that engages them with fun and colorful events and activities that are all revelvant to God. Many churches have found a way to tap into our children. From my experience, churches that aren't reaching the youth are those who aren't trying to. Children want to be better and they're looking for guidance.

todays youth arent just concerned with CHURCH. our generation looks beyond the four walls and looks at matters of the heart that are plaguing young people who are just like them. Jesus' ministry was to the total man or the total being. A lot of our churches just want the spirit to be right, and they never give substance or guidance for the lives we lead the moment people walk out of the door. Young people dont just need another annual conference, church service, or Bible study to attend, they need leaders who can speak their language and help them deal with the issues they face from day to day. Its called holistic ministry and thats what we must get to. When the church begins to do ministry in this manner, the way in which Jesus did, then we will see young people come back to church and love God, not be cause the church folk said so, but because they just cant help themselves.
