Posted By: Sam Bateman on August 13, 2008 I think, black people have lost confidence in what we can do when we come together, One of our great leader Marcus Garvey said, If you have no confidence in self you are twice defeated in the race of life. With confidence you have won even before you have started. I really think this is where the black man of today is in their mind, NO CONFIDENCE!!!! IN WHAT WE CAN DO TOGETHER, this is the 21Th century and we still can't see the damn blue print !!!! Marcus Garvey also said: There is no force like success, and that is why the individual makes all effort to surround himself throughout life with the evidence of it; as of the individual, so should it be of the nation. Marcus Garvey was one of the twentieth century's most influential leaders of black nationalism. In establishing the United Negro Improvement Association (UNIA), Garvey hoped to build--through enterprise and mass education--a unified nation of people of African blood. A powerful orator, organizer, and writer, Garvey recruited nearly ONE MILLION UNIA members worldwide. In 1919 he charted the Black Star Shipping Line (B.S.L.), which promoted black cross-continental trade. Under his red, black, and green banner of Pan-Africanism--a commitment to the solidarity of all black peoples--Garvey encouraged the worship of a black deity and the study of black history. Devoted to the separation of the black and white races, a position that he believed was vital to racial prosperity and cultural development, Garvey warned black workers to avoid the possible manipulation of white trade unions and Communist organizations. Although his success was short-lived, Garvey continues to symbolize racial pride and destiny for blacks around the world. This is the kinda guts we need today., WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THE REAL CONCEPT OF UNITY !!!! If we are to be really successful as a people , we need to look back at what our leaders has left with us,THE BLUE PRINTS OF WORKING TOGETHER !!! Now if you want and you are real about supporting each other here is how we as black people can do that... I'm supporting someone, now its your turn to support someone, here's how you can do that, join us and help us build a support system, a system of ONE MILLION STRONG that will help every person that will be apart it, In The Black Business Builders Club we are supporting each other and helping each other make money , this is a true and real effort to help our people and ourselves... To reach Freedom ... FEAR IS CONQUERED BY TAKING ACTION Nothing in life is to be feared. It is only to be understood. When you dare to face the things that scare you, you open the door to freedom and success. Most of your obstacles would melt away if, instead of cowering before them or procrastinating about dealing with them, you make up your mind to walk boldly through them. Don't be afraid to take the steps you need to take to make those positive changes in your life. To fight your fears, you must act. Your fears increase when you wait, put off, or postpone. If you understood your situation enough, you would never be afraid. The attainment of your dreams is but a determined action away. Successful people take action. Successful people build networks. Like the Black Business Builders Club it was put together make black people successful !!!! "Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success...." I just happen to believe that all of us together can make a difference !
