The Black Farmers

Posted By: WAYNE CRAWFORD on September 26, 2008 I'd like for us,as a group to look into how we can start a supper market of our own. The black farmer, I believed are the way to do this. Should we buy our product from them we can help them as well as ourselves. Just think about this. Having our own market place to shop for food. We could get our food from black farmers. Most of the black farmers have their own trucks to transport in their states. The only thing is to have a place for us to shop. A building. It is about time for us as black people to stop **** on the US Government's "****" asking for milk and getting none. All of our forefathers have advised us to take care of our own. Mr. Du Boise "be self sufficient' , Mr. Douglas said the same thing. Now we are going to the very people that put us in the shape that we are in now. Asking for fish and getting, snakes,asking for beard and getting "Crack Rocks"! Someone,some time soon,some where, has got to say "Let us leave babylon! A lone"! Wayne, Supermarkets operate on such small margins that start-up/ entry into this market is very tight. But if we expand your suggestion...investing in Black Farmers (literally) may be very profitable...based on current markets. Friday, September 26th 2008 at 4:31PM |

I agree with you Doc. Yet, with that type of investsment only help the farmeers. It won't benefit the mass. But by bring the farmers and the customers together, that process help us totally. An out of work truck drive would have a job by bring the products to the market. By selling stocks to the workers, gives them ownership, and are apt not to steal.
