I know everyone here is tired of hearing about Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin, but I have to go there again, especially after watching Levi Johnston on The Tyra Banks Show. What I want to know is how can the Republican Party still tout her as a viable presidential candidate when there are obvious cracks in her platform?
As you all know, Levi and Bristol, Palin's daughter, ended their much publicized relationship. They were supposed to get married following their baby boy's birth, but they didn't. Now, rumors are swirling that the Palin family is blocking Levi's access to his child, which, as Palin should know, is a violation of Levi's parental rights. That's his child, so if he wants this same child to spend a few days with him and his family, he should be permitted to do so.
I said this in an earlier blog, and I'm going to say it again. It was wrong for Sarah Palin to allow attention to settle on Levi and Bristol. Granted, it would have found them anyway, resulting from Palin's call for abstinence over protection. But the fact still remains that Governor Palin was willing to use her family's circumstances to catapult her and John McCain into the White House. Like I said before, she should have said no to McCain when he asked her to be his running mate.
What do you think? I look forward to reading your responses.
