Serena, Venus make it sister act, part IV (601 hits)

I'm a huge tennis fan and a better than average player. So this makes me twice as proud. I'm actually at a lost for words but just gotta be the first to show some love to the sisters for sharing center court -- or better yet, center stage -- at arguably the most prestigious event on the circuit: The Championships at Wimbledon.

As Richard so poetically wrote at the first championship meeting between the two sisters, "Welcome to the Williams Show!" (No offense to Serena fans but I've been a fan of the style and gazelle-like athleticism of Venus when I first watched her play, so: "Go Venus, make it number six baby girl!!!")

Not to mention they're still in it to win the doubles title, too. Again.

this is a perfect inspiration for all african americans to realize that you can succeed in more than one sport, if you choose to. let's all realize that everything is open to everybody.
