2009 has been a year of change for me. In fact, I experienced more change this year than I recall experiencing in over 20 years. Some of the changes were met with emotional pain on my part. However, looking back, I can see how the changes worked to get or keep me on my life's path. I can see how the changes worked to move me toward being a full-time writer earning a comfortable income.
I used to look at other folk's lives or even think about change in positive ways. Oh. I read the books and the magazine and website articles that spoke to how humans generally dislike change and will resist and fight against it. However, I thought I'd move right along with it without a hiccup. After all, the change was taking me right to what I wanted and loved.
Sounds simple, but accepting change (as I found out) is not always received so simply in our individual lives. I'd heard it said many times before and realized it this year. Change requires that we let go of something and that might be where the rub comes in. After all, who wants to feel like they are losing something? What I learned through the myriad of changes I experienced in 2009 is that we are not "losing" anything. We are merely moving away from some things so that we can move toward other things that will bring us greater JOY! (That is if we are following the Holy Spirit or our natural inner guide).
Was 2009 a year of change for you? Were you able to look back and see how those changes worked together to get or keep you on your life's true path? Did you learn to let things go with greater ease, appreciation and grace? Are you continuing to take higher ground?
Whatever 2009 was like for you, do know that you are so incredibly valued, valuable, blessed and loved! Enjoy spending time with family, friends and yourself this holiday season! Go into 2010 strong and convinced that you can have the absolute and very best!
Continue to advance upwards!
