What is the land area of the Nation of Islam ? The Nation of Islam has been around for almost 80 years so where is the land.....what is the land area in square kilometers. The answer is that there is no land. Though, the founding fathers profided the framework for setting up a government of our own, the responsibility to take the blacks to the next phase are in the hands of a bunch of talkers, orators and lip professionals. This is absolutely not the intent of Islam coming to America but rather to prepare us for self rule of some land of our own one day. The American experience has taught us how to grow industry and automate manufacturing. They taught us how to build a quality of life by drawing attention to higher education and the benefits of math and science. Sure, the establishment has been prejudice in its employment practices but the exposure to temperature control, health services, transportation, power distribution and electronics consurmerism has been awesome. The point was not for us to one day take over America but to give us the skill capacity to grow a nation of our own. Our problem...puting showmen and entertainers in positions of authority instead of qualified people that can get the work done. This is the problem with the Nation of Islam......lack of qualified professional help that can make a differance.

Irma...The question was answered when stated that there is no land( zero..nada...blanko...nothing) associated with the Nation of Islam. If you ask me what is the land area of the Nation of Jamaica, the answer is 10, 991 sq. km. You are right....the question was set up as a challenge with me knowing the answer all the time, but it as to get blacks to start thinking. Sometimes as African Americans we get so hiped up over sermons and talk that we can't smell the coffee. Forgive me for reducing such a controversial issue down to a simple answer, but that is what scientist DO. We take the complicated and simplify it so hopefully a child can understand. My point is that leaders of NOI must get their eyes back on the target because some Black Americans are not so naive.

Mr. Powell, Hello
That always is an option. In fact, sometimes on Sunday when I want to hear some good gospel singing, I will go to a church....But the wisdom and Truth is clouded at the church. At the church they will try to tell me that Jesus died fr my sins and God have up his only begotten son, so that me and you and others can live. How do you say Bull **** in a professionally way. Abraham in the bible and Holy QuraN was commanded to sacrifice his son Isaac at the Altar....and when Abraham lifted up his daggar just about the murder his OWN son, Almighty God stopped him. Abraham proved that he loved God and no sacrifice was too great. But the point was that God stopped him because no father should have to live with the grief of killing his own son. Human beings try to emulate God.....we see what God has done so we try to do the best we can. There is no way that God would sacrifice his own son, otherwise, he could have let Abraham do it. So no.....The church is not answer unless you get the urge to listen to a nice choir.

Dear Irma
The core of all genuine dharma teachings is the understanding that suffering and dissatisfaction originate in the way your mind responds and reacts to life's circumstances — not in the raw facts of life. This certainly can leave humanity to spend most of their time in developing endurance rather than ambition. But, what is wrong with going after tranquility or heaven on earth. Heaven is more than a state of mind though, I am sure a person on crack cocaine or angel dust would disagree. But, the major players that are fighting for authority are Christianity and Islam. There is a lot of good in Buddhism in there sense of rational behavior. But, we Black Americans did not ask to be kidnapped and brought to America. We came here at gunpoint with chains around our neck. This is not a figment of my imagination. Now, we are here and stuck. Merely trying to inter into some tranquil state and isolating ourselves from the circumstances is not the answer. No more than if a robber came into your house and stole all your children and took them away to toil. That deed has to be answered one day.........There is no way you would let that go unscaved.....No more is Almighty God going to let it go that White slave traders brought us to America and made us build this great nation and now WE ARE STUCK and cannot get back HOME.

I could have not said it better myself. But, from 1972 to now is 37 years. Certainly the temple and school are great stepping stones toward the target. But the eyes must be kept on the target. When the savior searched the earth looking for the lost tribe, it was not to stop at a temple and school. For He(God in Person) gave us a Flag of our own representing a nation to be eracted when we achieved our LAND OF OUR OWN. Yet, today we get the rhetoric, hip and rah rah but not moving toward LAND....this was not the intent.

The Nation of Islam failed because of n*ggaz. n*ggarism allowed the Nation to be taken over by thugs. These crooks were robbing the Nation of all it's money. The Nation had a lot of money but crooks in the Nation took most of it. They killed off Malcolm X the only honest man in the high leadership.
Elijah Muhammad was an egotist whom loved it when people fell all over him calling him the messenger of God. Disagree? Why did J. Edgar Hoover call him no threat? Because he was an old man. Why didn't Elijah Muhammad appoint a younger leader while he was still healthy and alive? Ego. The Nation was a cult and when Elijah Muhammad died there's was no one else to worship so they just dispersed. End of story.

Your have actually hit the problem nail on the head...though have a strange way of getting to it. Turns out that America has not had the like of Messenger Elijah Muhammad since Marcus Garvey in turns of impact on America and effects on African American. And as far as him being and old man....He was not always an old man....you hope that you can go living to become an old man....if it pleases Almighty God Allah. But the Nation of Islam has been suffering from a lack of professional educated membership for some time. It was part of the Messenger's mission to clean up the downtrodded, poor, undesireable, pimp, prostitute, and homeless to make them upright citizens...and thats just what he done. He even went into the prisons and cleaned up winos, convicted felons and the like to make them brilliant individuals....Look what he done for Malcolm X and many others.
But, many black people was jelous of Him including his own family. For instance, his oldest brother tried to murder him and his own son, Wallace, turned his back on his own father. Despite these obstacles, Messenger Elijah Muhammad built an empire out of nothing and today, American Muslims totaling over 1 million owe their belief to the toils of this man.
What the Nation of ISLAM needs is an influx of black educated equipped with the skills for nation building. But, typically, when a black person gets educated, they forget about their people, their kind and think of only themselves.
As for me, don't play games, might have me confused with some of those gamers, thugs in Oakland

Thank you very much Jamal for being more specific in your blog was meant for the leaders of the NOI.
I wrongly believed that this blog was meant also for me, an African-American female. I am one who is a N.D. Buddhist...
But, when "I' was a practicing Christian, I was 'taught to believe" that God sent his only son to be killed in order to save mankind from themselves. I do believe dead is dead and it does not make a difference to me if one kills / murder another directly or have it done by indirect methods....but that is me(smile)

"I" may have the same color skin that is not considered White or light skined Black...but "I" have every thing I want and need in this life time...I do not worry nor concern my self with the personal needs, short comings or success of any one as "I" am only an expert on me.
I refuse to waste time and energy trying to judge others by my persoanl values. Those I value, are in my life on my personal choice, actions, reactions. Those i do not value as a positive on my life or my enviornment, I keep away from and keep them away from me...the ifees, I keep at arms length.
I also chose to believe that some Africans paid their way to America and were propductive in America, when only White people called indentured servants were doing the work of the American master, long before Chattel slavery became legal in this country....I also believe that it is true that some of those sold/ forced into American Chattel slavery were sold by their African slave master....
My family's (father side)history has not been traced back so far past the late 16th century.(smile)(smile)
