Survivor 2 Survivor (402 hits)

Want to start a forum where us survivors can come together and come up with plans to help others to surivive like we did. Time and time again, I find that people have left their situations yes thats a great start but unless they surivve the traumatic situation or whatever they have went thru, there is no way they can truly survive an continue to live without getting into the same type of relationships or repeated behavior period. Especilly if they have children, they have to survive for them because if they watched you get abused then you have taught them that this type of relationship is a correct way to live.

Hello Barbara,

As Black Americans, our ultimate survival lies in becoming a sovereign people or has complete independence or a portion of this continent that we could call our very own country with borders to pursue life, liberty, happiness and prosperity in our own way. Then these lesser problems that you are concerned about will evaporate, am I right.

The biggest problem is that too many people like im reading from your message consider Domestic Violence or any kind of crime to be of lesser problem. It is not a problem to be sleeping on, it is not a problem that you should turn our back on. Just think about it, if you have sisters, we all have grandmotehrs, mothers, aunts, nieces or even female cousins, could yo honestly say that you would walk away from them being puonced on? Lessor problem, can you honestly tell me that you think its okay to have somoene abuse your mom? I am making this personal like this because people do consider this not to be a problem because it has gone on for so many years that they do think this is natural. But it is not natural to tell someone that you love them and theyhave to walk around wiht an blackened eye due to your anger. Respect goes a long way, honesty is the key, Pride will take a life, you tell me whats more important.

Hello Barbara,

I do not think that you understand what sovereignty means. To carry on our dialogue you must know what sovereignty is. So, find out what sovereignty means in that us continue to dialogue.

Let me say this as well, I understand what you are saying, but you do not understand what I am saying. So, find out the meaning of sovereignty then we could dialogue more understandably.

i apologize for the delay in responding and I also will apologize for reading too fast without taking the whole paragraph into consideration. I just stuck on the word lesser and that bothered me. And I will say now that I have read and understood the whole paragraph you are indeed right and we will have to start with one person at a time and another thing when we still do as I stated, help one person we begin to help whole families; its a slow process but it has to start somewhere.
