Dear Gardeners:
It's time for spring and summer days of fine tuning our spots of blooms. Since clean-ups are a part of garderning the sooner your start the easier it becomes to maintain. I started this week with of course lawn-cutting then the thick brush on my fence had to be removed. I had a couple of small blooming bushes which died over the winter months so I had to have them chopped down. Beds that require tending will need new mulch and perhaps topsoil if it necessary. If you planted bulbs last fall some of those may already be up and blooming. For veggie growers who haven't started, you'll have tilling and planting ahead if you haven't done so already. Fresh vegetables, home grown there's nothing like them!
The month of May is approaching and many garderners have rose bushes getting ready to pop out with clusters of roses. If you feel the need you can feed your roses now to make their harvest even more beautiful. Then there's painting and mending fences. I have a few chores left in this department, but I have already set up my summer's porch. Hopefully, by the end of the week I'll add a few annuals to the porch for those little touches of plants and flowers while I'm sitting out admiring the weather. Clean-ups take work, but the rewarding after is worth the toil. I think most gardeners will agree on that! Don't forget to clean up the sheds and garden storage spaces...they could need attention like mine does. [Smiles]
I'll write again around mid-summer. Enjoy your spring! Ahhh!...bring on the lemonade.

P.S. Clark are your rabbits gone away? Irma give me a update too! I haven't seen any moles in my yard lately... Let me hear from all garderners. I'd like to know what's going on with ya'll. Advice on any garden topics are always welcomed!
