Professional sports pays million dollar salaries to Americans including African Americans. Using their time on earth to throw or catch a ball is the pact made with the devil. God gave every man and woman a life with a purpose. To disavow that purpose for one that has no eartly benefit is a waste. Watching teams go at each other in basketball, football or baseball for example is a waste. How can you read a book and watch the game at the same time. How can you cut the grass and watch the game ? How can you put up your tools in the garage and watch you wins at the NCAA championship. So professional sports is designed to take your mind off the target.....to take your eye off the prize....thinking that win your team win....you win....but you don't win....not until you get up and do something for yourself. Unless a person is doing something to contribute to the planet earth, the people on earth, the animals on earth, the plants on earth..etc....then they are wasting their time.. God gave us this life and we take from the earth......it is only right that we should want to give back in some positive way. How selfish to think that God created a human being for the sole purpose of bouncing a ball and making a million dollars. Even a fool would have to know that they have signed their soul to the devil.

This excerpt from Elijah Muhammad's book Message To The Blackman (Page 246-247) says it all:
How can we say that we are the civilized people of the world when to be civilized, as Allah has taught me, one must have knowledge, wisdom, understanding, culture and refinement and not be savage. America, more than any other country, offers our people opportunities to engage in sports and play which cause delinquency, murder, theft and other forms of wicked and immoral crimes. This is due to this country's display of filthy temptations in this world of sport and play.
Great sums of money are spent in sport and play, in games of chance and gambling, in the operation of sporting houses. Millions are spent on horse racing and numbers rackets and are a disgraceful publicity of indecent sport.
Hundreds of millions of dollars change hands for the benefit of a few to the hurt of millions of poor people in the bread lines, and suffering from the lack of good education, with their last few pennies they help the already helped to try winning with these gambling "scientists" who have prepared a game of chance that the poor suckers have only one chance out of nine hundred to win. Therefore, the world of sports is causing tremendous evils.
Think over the destruction of homes and families, the disgrace, the shame, the filling up of jails -- state and federal -- with victims of sports and play, the loss of friendship, the loss of beautiful wives and husbands, the loss of sons and daughters to these penal institutions. From dope, knives and guns, this evil is practiced under Christianity.
The poor so-called Negroes are the worst victims in this world of sport and play because they are trying to learn the white man's games of civilization. Sport and play (games of chance) take away the remembrance of Allah (God) and the doing of good, says the Holy Qur'an. Think over what I am teaching, my people, and judge according to justice and righteousness.
Almighty Allah, to whom all praises are due, did not raise me as a Messenger like the Prophets of old, but he raised me as a Messenger, a Warner and a Reminder to the Nations of that which was prophesied to take place in these last days.
We have come to the end of the Prophets and the end of the old wicked world. I am missioned by the Supreme Being to awaken my people (so-called Negroes) to the time in which we are now living.
It is my people who are more ignorant to the truth than any other people on the planet earth. It is my people, furthermore, who are in the house of their enemies whom Allah is ready to destroy by fire. And they must be warned.
Finally, I must warn you against the devil's temptations, for they are seeking to make you unfit for acceptance into Allah's New World of peace, happiness and unlimited progress.
They have made you drunkards from their wine, whiskey and beer and other intoxicating. They have made prostitutes of our women. They have caused some of our women to love other women and men to love men and practice s*x relations with their own s*x. They have our people addicted to the worst kind of filth. They have made you dependent upon filth and vulgarity for survival.
They have made us eaters of the forbidden and poisoned swine. They have made us to have wicked, swearing mouths against the Most High God, Allah. But Allah knows the guilty ones, and you shall soon see the reality about which I have been warning you for the past 31 years made manifest in this rich, wicked world of Satan.

Hello Robert,
It is amazing how this squabbling has been going on for so long, which is typical of our people.
Robert, Jamal have asked you several times over not to call him out of his name, but you persist. I have asked Jamal not to delete your comments. However, after so many times that Jamal have asked you to respect him by referring to him as he wants to be referred to and you still persist to annoy him by calling him out of his name is baffling to me. Robert, do you like being a nuisance? Then, when Jamal deletes your comments, you do not understand and believe that wrong is being done to you. What it is that you do not understand?
We should be constantly seeking avenues and ways of how best to get along with each other. It is not the goal to get along with each other and inherently forges unity. Unity is unity no matter how small it starts, am I right.

Hello,
Let me give you all a working synopsis of Mr. Elijah Muhammad’s mind at the time he wrote about sports and play, okay.
Firstly, let us understand for any race [Society] sports and play is a necessary element of culture and development. It is the same as with a child. The child needs exercise sports, excitement, play and I think you get the picture of what I am saying.
Mr. Elijah Muhammad always had a negative attitude towards White America brought on especially by the era of time he lived and rightfully so. However, his negative attitude did not allow him to rise above negativity, emotions and fault-findings to supreme wisdom. Supreme wisdom is sometimes referred to as the Wisdom of Solomon, which has nothing to do with positive or negativity, but only to find the truth.
Consequentially, Elijah filled the minds of unwary Black Americans with negativity for everything, life, reality and White people that he referred to as devils. To this day, many of us cannot shake Mr. Elijah Muhammad’s stench off us, am I right. Mr. Elijah Muhammad was wrong about many things. Remember that Dr. Fard Muhammad was a very intelligent foreigner who opened Elijah’s eyes to how he [Dr. Fard Muhammad] felt or had a grudge against White America. I said that to say Black Americans including Elijah was so ignorant that none of us had the mental capabilities to discern what Dr. Fard Muhammad overt motives were.
But anyway, sports and play is a necessary element of culture and development of a society. Chess and checkered playing as a sport is necessary for a good cultural development of a race. Every race has their particular sport and play. Do you get my drift?

The below guestbook comment addressed to me on my profile page this morning, April 21, 2010, reveals what was inside of Robert Powell all along.
After reading what he wrote below, it may help you to finally understand why Jamal and I delete his comments. What may seem cruel in his eyes as far as deleting his comments is indeed a protection for him. Inside of him is a vile spirit, waiting to pounce, and to vomit up venom -- like Linda Blair's character was in the movie The Exorcist.
Look at the insults that he directs at Jamal and I; look at the sentiments that he expresses; look at the hatred that he demonstrates for the NOI; look at the ignorance that his writing expresses; look at the mockery he makes of what the NOI worked and sacrificed to help bring about, and ask yourself "why?"
Then, think over all of your encounters with him when he was "upset", and recall what you thought about when you ended your conversations with him, or left his presence -- and you will see how what is written by him below is the literal manifestation of a wickedness which he was given the opportunity to correct, yet he only worked to cloak and hide it -- but to no avail.

I believe that no black woman on BIA deserve to be called a "b..." Sis. Siebra deserves the respect of a member of the queen mother of civilization group. As for the going behind emails and calling me names...it is cowardly. But getting back to this blog.....they have designed Sports in America to get black Americans off the beaten path and eat up tons of valuable time....Time that could be used for learning skills and ability to do for self.

I do not think that you understand that White America can do as they please since the real estate of this country belongs to them as well as Black Americans literally still belongs to them as well, am I right.
Mr. Elijah Muhammad did not understand this fact and it seems that you do not either, am I right.
What Black Americans have White Americans gave it to us or allowed us to have it. For instance, White Americans gave us Christianity and allowed us to have Islam. What Mr. Elijah Muhammad did White Americans allowed him to do, am I right.
Now here is a contrasting example. What Moses did was not what Pharaoh had allowed him to do. So, the time is going to come that what I do is not going to be what White America would allow but what God would allow as in the case of Moses. In other words, Mr. Elijah Muhammad was not the one neither was the foreigner Mr. Fard Muhammad since he had to sneak in and out of the country. I am the One. Am I making any sense with you Jamal?

Hello Jamal,
It is going to be a difficult task raising you from a dead level to a living perpendicular.
So tell me, do you think that any ordinary man could lead Black Americans into sovereignty on a portion of this continent that we could call our very own country with borders?
Black Americans had a so-called messenger [Mr. Elijah Muhammad] Black America had an educated Baptist preacher [Dr. Martin Luther King]. Black America had activists that was jailed and later deported [Mr. Marcus Garvey]
Now why these three men could not bring Black Americans into sovereignty?
Nation building from the onset for every people is different. In other words, what it took White America to engage in nation building will certainly be different from what it would take Black Americans to engage in nation building. Does that make any sense to you?
God constantly inspires and guides me. I know what I am talking about and that is why I1 engage you, mentally speaking. But, you keep jumping from one thing to another attempting to avoid answering my questions.

So they get the Black American male and now female engulfed in sports, spending 12-16 hours per day working on improving their game. If they make it professionally, the money is there, but, look at the time wasted. American authority wins on two fronts; first, it is a waste of time for the player....secondly, it is a waste of time for those watching the game.

In the midst of this, there is the case of Sports in America. So many black Americans are attracted to the immediate reward peculiar to sports. When the basketball player shoots the ball...and it goes in the net....there is immediate gratification. The fans cheer and spectators clap their hands. Not only does the professional player get a large salary but he is rewarded every day there is a game. Unknowingly to him...is that his time on earth is being wasted away. Almost like selling himself for another man's money.

Brother Jamal , excellent analysis. However sports while properly dressed is not only beneficial health-wise but allows young males to release pinned up aggression that otherwise would only be released through violence.
Cultures that don't have an active sports program are usually violent because men have no otherway to test themselves and thier manhood.

Japan demonstrates how one can incorporate physical fitness, energy release into a sport and they call it martial arts. That way, they are not wasting their time as what sports generally does. What Japan has come up with are several forms of martial arts:
Aikido
Takagari (Falconry)
Iaido
Judo
Jujutsu
Karate
Kemari
Kendo
Kenjutsu
Kyûdô (Japanese archery)
Naginatajutsu
Sumo
Yabusame
We will use that idea in developing a "black art form" that combines self defense, with physical fitness, energy release and comradary.

Hello,
On this blog three Black Americans Siebra, Robert and Jamal believe they are Muslims and they are not since there are not Arabian people.
Prophet Mohammed coined the word Muslim. Before Allah anointed Prophet Mohammed, the Arabian people were pagan believers. They believed rocks, trees and other earthly things were God. This polytheistic belief troubled Prophet Mohammed tremendously since he wanted his people in one God and that God is unlike anything of creation.
So, when God anointed Prophet Mohammed with divine wisdom, insight he taught his people that there is one God, and God is unlike anything of creation. The Quran says that God begets not and God is not begotten and there is nothing liken unto God.
As the Arabian people began to understand, accept and believe what Prophet Mohammed was teaching them, Prophet Mohammed needed a word to distinguish the first followers of Islam and he called them Muslims.
Consequentially, the Arabian ordeal has nothing to do with Black Americans. Therefore, when a Black American says that he is a Muslim that person is completely ignorant since he does not know the meaning and purpose of the word Muslim. Am I right or am I wrong?
I am Black America’s first genuine prophet that will lead us into sovereignty or complete independence on a portion of this continent that we could call our very own country with borders. God has intervened in our affairs.
