HIT THE ROAD WITH THE NATIONAL ALLIANCE ON MENTAL ILLNESS WALK-A-THON: Saturday, May 1, 2010 (983 hits)


NAMI Maryland Events Sponsors its Annual NAMIWALK 2010 (There will be walk-a-thons all across the country...look up the date and time in your country and join in a great cause)!

Maryland Routes and Directions for Druid Hill Park and College Park:

I hope you are all ready for a great walk! Below we have more information about the walking paths for Walk Day and directions to both sites. For more information about the walk in general, visit NAMI Maryland at http://www.namimaryland.org.

ROUTES

The Baltimore site at the Maryland Zoo will be leading walkers around beautiful Druid Hill Lake. Check out the walk route at http://www.namimd.org/pdfs/2010_Baltimore_...

COLLEGE PARK

From Baltimore and Points North, via I-95 South
1. Take I-95 South to the Capital Beltway East (I-495)
2. I-95 South will merge to the left, joining I-495
3. Take Exit 23 "201 Kenilworth Avenue Bladensburg Greenbelt"
4. Proceed south on 201 in the direction of "Greenbelt Road and Bladensburg"
5. At 2nd light, turn right onto Paint Branch Parkway, Follow the Common Directions Below

From Virginia and Points South, Via Capital Beltway (I-495)
1. Take I-95 North to the Capital Beltway (I-495)
2. Follow I-95/I-495 North toward Baltimore
3. Take Exit 23 "201 Kenilworth Avenue Bladensburg Greenbelt"
4. Proceed South on 201 in the direction of "Greenbelt Road and Bladensburg"
5. At 3rd light, turn right onto Paint Branch Parkway, Follow the Common Directions Below

From Bowie, Annapolis, and Points East, Via U.S. 50 West
1. Take U.S. 50 West to the Capital Beltway (I-495)
2. Go North on I-95/I-495 toward Baltimore
3. Take Exit 23 "201 Kenilworth Avenue Bladensburg Greenbelt"
4. Proceed South on 201 in the direction of "Greenbelt Road and Bladensburg"
5. At 3rd light, turn right onto Paint Branch Parkway, Follow the Common Directions Below

Common Directions
1. Proceed approximately two miles to U.S. Route 1
2. Turn left onto U.S. Route 1 South
3. Follow the signs to turn right onto the University Campus
4. Take the FIRST right immediately after turning onto campus at Paint Branch
5. Follow NAMI signs to Comcast Center parking lot.
6. Parking is open and free on this lot. Feel free to park near the NAMI Parking sign.


BALTIMORE

The Maryland Zoo at Baltimore is located in beautiful Druid Hill Park - less than 10 minutes from
Baltimore's Downtown Inner Harbor. Parking is FREE!

From I-83 North and South
Take Exit 7 (West) to Druid Park Lake Drive -- follow signs to theZoo.
From I-95 South
Take I-695 West to I-83 South. Take Exit 7 (West) to Druid Park Lake Drive -- follow signs to the Zoo.
From I-95 North
Take I-395 North (Exit 53), continue onto Pratt Street, then turn left ontoPresident Street. Continue straight on I-83 North. Take Exit 7 (West) to Druid Park Lake Drive -- follow signs to the Zoo.
From I-70
Take I-695 North to I-83 South. Take Exit 7 (West) to Druid Park Lake Drive -- followsigns to the Zoo.
From Downtown Baltimore
Take Pratt Street to President Street and turn left. Continue straight on I-83 North. Take Exit 7 (West) to Druid Park Lake Drive -- follow signs to the Zoo.
