It was once said in a rumor, that the Gerber baby on the picture of the jar was John Wayne, don't know if it's true or not.

Me, being from the south where almost all we ate, wore, ect. was home made, the baby food was cooked to mush and the parent chewed the meat then put it in the child's mouth when it was fine enough for him-her to handle on their own...

My children were Gerber babies all the way. (smile) But, then if you count how much of the baby food apple sauce I would eat then maybe I was a gerber baby food baby....I did so love their apple sauce...dont' tell any one.lol (smile)
