ENRICHMENTS FROM THE WORD:
God's compassion is awesome!
You may not or may not be in a situation today that you are troding from a prodigal way. Therefore, you may be able to reflect on there was a time you were prodigal. You left the ways of righteousness to pursue a dream full of earthly allures. It could be any situation with you. One you thought you could handle and one when you had great friends and company. One of many situations where you were eluded with populairity and even fame among them. Yet, one day that all so wealthy dream vanished leaving you with only yourself. No one care about you anymore and just like the prodigal son, you'd sinned against God. Sin separted you from God and sin caused you to leave away from doing his commandments. Sins left you bearing a lowly life of so close to mere destruction. Imagine how once a backslider was awaken to knowing that returning to the Lord opened up to him once again "the amazing compassion of an awesome God." Prodigal children can return to his amazing compassion with repentance and contrite hearts. Hearts he enriches with his most astounding love for you. You'll be coming to your senses and return to the Father of Heaven. Coming to your senses to ask forgiveness. Coming to your senses to receiving God's Amazing Compassion!
After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country and he began to be in need.
So he went an hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs.
He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but NO ONE gave him anything.
.......WHEN HE CAME TO HIS SENSES,
he said "How many of my father's hired men have food to spare, and her I am starving to death!"
I will set out and go back to my father and say to him:
"Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you."
