ENRICHMENTS FROM THE WORD:
May this not happen to you...
One greatest lessons of money is one regarding the magician who wanted to buy the Holy Spirit. He wanted to own it to bring him profits and fame. However, he was quickly ministered to repent of his wickedness in prayer. His thought was to gain power and be exceedling rich. But his heart was not right before God. He was seen as bitter and a captive of sin. Sin being that he loved the ideals of having the power of the Spirit and even more engulfed in the wealth it would bring him. He wanted to buy God's Gift. Quickly cautioned of his sin, he asked for prayer that nothing would happen to him!
So therefore, be enriched in God's word. May his Free Gift abide in you. Let not money become your folly... less it will perish with you.
Fascinating! The Holy Spirit is NOT FOR SALE. It is free for all who will ask of him and for those who believe.
What an enrichment that is!
Don't allow the love of money to perish with you!
"When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles' hands, he offered them money and said,
"Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit".
"Peter answered, "May your money perish with you,
because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money!"
