IN ONE DAY (426 hits)

IN ONE DAY

There was a young lady I spoke with recently who was disturbed when her young man friend was vomiting up blood. Over a week he had complained of stomach pains but nevertheless he refused to go to the doctor for help. He was weak and had lost weight and was filled with aches in the stomach. She said he finally went when he saw that his conditioned worsened as the day went on. Finally going; he was only moments away from suffering from a serious heart attack. One he could "OF" prevented with early treatment in one day. He was so careless putting off getting help he so obviously required. How so neglectful was he to taking care of his illness, even with major signs of trouble he did not want to see to himself or his health. If he had neglected much longer it’s possible he would not be alive.

How strange it is to that so many people put off doing what they should do or can do in one day so that they allow days and days to come and go without taking care of their personal business, health and important necessities in one day. Waiting to make changes within themselves or things concerning others. Days pass over them too.

Just as in one day we are alive, the next we could be gone away. Just as in one day we are given the opportunity to take care of ourselves. One day we can make better changes, and in that one day what we do may very well allow us another day if we duly are obedient to finishing what we can. Tomorrow is never promised. So in one day we live, as it is our last doing serving as examples of doing well in a day. Serving others as well as self to aid and share what we can. This saying I feel may be suited for today:

“Never put off tomorrow, what you can do today.”

After all, TODAY is really all we have isn’t it?

Never mind me...I just blow out bubbles...ooooOOOOOOOO
it's what I do each day as I'm allowed to do in one day.

OOOOOOOOOO...oooo..

Thanks, english teacher! Your correction is well received.

I think sometimes one is entilted to make grammatical or spelling errors purposely-- and I often see this in many blog writings-- I am not without fault. What one fails to examine is with any or all imperfections of grammar or spelling it is a person's own point of view and, or his or her writing style that makes them unique. Because it expresses their own opinions.... written in their own way.

"If one is to seek total perfection, he too; will be subjected to criticism "

"So, if you have never been without fault please...cast the first stone."

Our bodies will notify us of problems if we just pay attention to the signs before it gets serious. Laxatives and colon cleanes are your bodies best friend. If after you take a lax, you feel the pain has moved to a different area, then you know that it is working itself out.

Helen thanks-- I agree...paying attention is the message we should receive because our bodies will give us signs if something is not quite right. In addition, when we have determined there is the slightest detection for health breakdowns we should not procrastinate and seek medical attention soon as possible. Staying alert of our bodily conditions and functions should not be taken lightly.

To your good health Helen!

Lovely Miisrael, this is very good advice. I think women are more diligent, in general, about taking care of themselves. I'm not very good at it, I get caught up in my work and neglect my body's needs. It seem to need a woman who will kick me in the ass when I need it!

My grandmother was 1/2 cherokee, and she believed that the cause of sickness can be associated or located by certain events. She never put anything in her mouth without first smelling it, and she remained well until she got arthrites. She never liked to go to the doctors because she said they were vampires, always taking your blood(lol).

@Clark, isn't it a little dissappointing that our love ones won't go to have themselves check out. I think at least once every 2 years. I'm guilty too of putting off my check-ups. I dread the idea of the Doc, but I know it's preventive care that really needed. Gratitudes Clark.

@Steve, You sound like many Black males who just try to keep going when they know they need to go see about their health. May you get that woman who'll give you a good "shinner!" Pow! right on the buttocks!...Laughs..

@Helen, you know drawing blood is so scary to many patients. I find it can be often a main deter for most people who have the fear of needles and blood. "Vampires"....that's funny.

Thanks all.
