I DONT LIKE TO FORGIVE BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE IM WEAK ,,,HELP ME LORD ,,I WANT TO FIGHT ! (454 hits)

Why You Must Follow Forgiveness
That’s why we need to pray for them and say, “God forgive them.” In fact, what does God say will happen to us when we obey His Word?

Luke 6:35 states “…and then your recompense (your reward) will be great (rich, strong, intense, and abundant), and you will be sons of the Most High….” God tells us that we’ll receive a reward. We will get double for our trouble if we will do things His way.

The Bible says that love covers a multitude of sins. Do you know what that means? It means that love will even have you making excuses for your enemies. Someone might come up to us and say, “Well, I heard what so-and-so did to you.”

When we really decide to forgive someone and pray the prayer that blesses our enemies, making the decision that we will not talk bad about them, but instead, cover their fault and their mess, we still might not feel any different.

Now, I believe choosing forgiveness is one of the most difficult things God asks us to do, especially if we believe that whoever hurt us is in the wrong and doesn’t deserve to be forgiven.

But God instructs us to practice forgiveness. And when we choose to follow the path of forgiveness, we will experience the peace and joy that come through obeying God’s Word

I HAVE BEEN HAVING A PROBLEM IN THIS ARES BECAUSE WHEN I TRY TO FOR GIVE AND I GET ATTACK FORM ME I DELETE THE THOUGHT AND THE WAR IS BACK ON I KNOW THE DEVIL USES PEOPLE TO DO HIS WORK !

I AM REALLY STUCK BECAUSE I DONT HOLD THINGS IN BUT I DO PLOT TO PAY BACK AND I WILL KEEP GOING UNTIL ME ENEMY IS DEAD ! THE ART OF WAR !

Hay..DJ! Even weakness fights takes strength. It appears you have a strong protective instinct so you put up a fight. Forgiving someone does not make one weak. If this is so ...what if our Lord didn't forgive?...would we consider him a weak God? We know how powerful God is.

To forgive could be the perception you see as a weakness.. in that you want it known you're NOT a pushover. Just guessing at that. Since this is speculation, it's possible you want to wage an attack if you feel you're threatned again --in relating that someone is abusive to your sympathy... I forgave SO, I'm not tough enough. . Kind hearts are tough and forgiveness is a tough decision for many you. They have to feel protected. Please-- this is just observation of thought, not an analysis of your personality.. Our God is merciful and forgives us many times over and over again. How tough he is!

I AM ALWAYS THE ONE TO CALL FOR PEACE AROUND HERE I TRY TO KEEP A POSITIVE OUTLOOK ON EVERYTHING I DO ,,,,LIKE YESTERDAY I WAS LIED ON THEN ATTACK BY PEOPLE I DONT WANT TO TALK TO OR BE AROUND ,,YOU TOLD ME TO STOP SO I DID THEN I GET A NOTE THAT THEY ARE STILL GOING IN ON NE 1 THAT TO ME IS LIKE PULLING A PIN ON A GRENADE AND RELEASING THE GRIP I WANT TO THROW IT BUT IM HOLDING ON BECAUSE OF RESPECT AND WANTING TO MAKE PEACE !
I HAVE LEARN THE ART OF WAR THROUGH TRAINING AND NOW THE ART OF LOVE THROUGH CHRIST ,,,THERE IS A WAR GOING ON ! IN ME !

it is here at BIA i find it hard to forgive ,,i have been calling for pease every since i was attack by robert i tryed to say forgive and forget but the mor i forgive the more i get attack
im trying to firgive a 63 year lod lady for lying on me twice ,,,,im trying to forgive a white man that call me n*gga when my father was killed by a white man for protecting my mom after the white man called my mom a n*gga !

David since the fight is within you, what other suggestion can I give is that you have to start within forgiving your thoughts and resentment inside you. You are at war with yourself ...tell David it's okay to forgive. As long as you fight with this it will remain, you have to move on from that fighting you have raging inside. Otherwise, it will continue and your heart may become hardened so that you cannot forgive anyone. Your situation is very difficult because there is much remorse, but you have to come to terms that either you'll forgive --or remain at fighting something has built up to that may destroy you. Listen to the voice of forgiveness that frees you from destroying a good heart. You must keep trying. Praying for you David.

David, rather than waste all your thoughts on all the people who have caused you to feel this way. I"d suggest that you decide, which of the three that you choose to forgive first, then who would be the second one you'd forgive. When you get to the last one, the one that you really don't want to forgive, you might decide that with the passing of time you could possibily let it go also... Or just do like eveybody else and pretend to forgive(lol)
