Since Haiti's devastating earthquake earlier this year, Fugees member Wyclef Jean has been a busy man. That, coupled with his campaign to run as the country's president, has ran him ragged.
The stress and hectic schedule has seemed to take its toll on Wyclef's body, who was reportedly hospitalized for fatigue and stress recently.
According to reports, the musician/political activist reportedly checked himself into a New Jersey hospital recently. Sources at activist organization AFACeAFACe shared the news via a tweet (@AFACeAFACe) on Monday (September 27), which 'Clef himself retweeted an hour later.
"Information from an inside source has confirmed @wyclef has been hospitalized due to Stress and Fatigue," tweeted the organization.
When Wyclef announced his run for the Haiti presidential seat in early August, he was met with criticism from the likes of actor Sean Penn and rapper Pras.
Despite his campaign in politics, Haiti officials kicked him out of the race due to certain requirements that he did not meet, specifically maintaining residency in the country for five consecutive years leading up to the election.
