Will the serious educators who want to educate Black children and Black People please join us?
Black People Across America Must Take Control of the Education, Minds and Spirits of their Children with Saturday Schools
I want you to educate Black children!!!
We will control the teachers.
We will control the curriculum.
We will control the physical space.
We will control the spirits of the children.
We will teach to global standards.
We will control the rigor of study.
We will focus on teaching every Black boy to read at grade level by the third grade.
We will require parental participation in the educational process of their children.
We will mentor Black boys and girls.
We will be responsible for educating Black children.
We will teach Black people in other cities, other states and other countries how to take control of the education of their children.
500 volunteers are needed.

We need 500 tutors, site coordinators, recruiters of tutors, administrators, organizers and workers for Chicago's Saturday University. We need 50 churches, schools, park districts and community centers to host a Saturday University for 2 hours a Saturday for 6 months. This is the only idea that will be discussed at our meeting. While this process is being controlled by Black people, people of all races may volunteer in this process to help educate Black children. Children of all races are invited to participate in The Black Star Project's Saturday University.
