Columnist Attacks Google For Stealing Term‏ (A MUST READ)! (583 hits)

KNOWL, TRANSDIMENSIONAL MATHEMATICS, GOOGLE AND FREEDOM

By Bhekuzulu Khumalo
On October 13, 2010, I presented a paper entitled "The Concept of the Mathematical Infinity and Economics". This paper was presented in Charleston, South Carolina at the International Atlantic Economic Society's 70th conference. Basically, I laid out that mathematics, especially calculus, must be modified according to the dimensions of the variable used to get more meaningful results.
Professor Guido Travalgini of Istituto di Economia e Finanza (Institute of Economics and Finance) based in Roma Italy had this to say: "B. Khumalo's novel approach to compute the derivative in the presence of an indivisible denominator (e.g. labor units in Economics, thermodynamics in Physics) represents an interesting and challenging breakthrough in the received mathematical doctrine... This method enables the operator to include in the differentiation of an indivisible variable an approximation of its past rates of change, thereby rendering continuity to a computation that would be discrete otherwise. In practice, Khumalo's derivative is a polynomial expansion of standard higher-order derivatives and produces the 'true' derivative."

Respected Economics researcher from College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, Sean Tarter had this to say: "Bhekuzulu is unquestionably right about the nature of systemic microstructure, when it comes to economics. How we respond as a field will certainly be interesting and fruitful. There are certainly situations that arise in which his criticism not only needs to be addressed, but we finally have the computational engines to accommodate it."

One thanks people for such comments and encouragement, simply because we are dealing on footing of intellectual contribution not race, politics, and ideology.
These insights came from a book written in 2004 entitled "The Fundamental Theory of Knowledge", where I first introduced a unit of knowledge, naming this unit a knowl, short for knowledge. Having put various papers on the internet explaining and using knowl. Nothing can really be studied in a scientific manner without a unit, knowledge needed some sort of unit so that human beings could and can carry out a scientific inquiry into its nature.
In December 2007, Google announced the creation of an encyclopaedia, many believing to rival Wikipedia. They call their encyclopaedia "Knoll", and they say knoll means a unit of knowledge - claiming they coined the term. So obviously Google googled the internet and thought to themselves a unit of knowledge, "knowl" sounds good, they would take it, call it "Knol" and claim they coined the term. I emailed Google to tell them of their error. Every writer, scientist, philosopher is happy to see their terms used, that is the point of writing and sharing, but nobody will be happy to see somebody claim they originated something they did not.

Having immigrated to North America, and not finding a job in my field was not a bother, I could work as a construction laborer, this allowed me the opportunity to delve into fields with thoroughness that economists and philosophers had previously not studied in depth, knowledge economics presented perfect opportunity, I had to start from the very bottom of scientific inquiry and create a unit, the knowl. Nobody ever said you are wrong, but strange views were given. One professor from University of Toronto said look at the mess in Africa. Blacks should not waste time with original thought; they can not look after themselves. In 2005, he said to my face that blacks are genetically good for athletics, singing, and entertainment. It is proven, that kind of racism is shocking. The professor from York University said we will promote your work when you are dead, you are black. Then you understand the system and thought patterns taking place in the "free world", Obviously, these professors did not understand economics, economic success for a society is about a system, are people allowed to do or are they not allowed to do, and you do by using your knowledge, there is no other way.

Blacks should stop thinking that finding new knowledge is for other races, and blacks who venture in this path deserve it when people like Google say they coined terms they never coined. That is aiding and abetting foolishness. There is nothing worse than somebody who finds themselves in a community leadership position but wants the community not to believe in itself, but in them. Believe in yourself, then you can believe in others. I believe in myself and I know blacks can do anything if they put their mind on it. Continue thinking like this and you will be worried like Philip Jackson who wrote an article entitled, "With no more cotton to pick, what will America do with 36 million blacks". Get dirty and seek new knowledge, be creative, that is a major path. China and India are forging ahead as they ignored lies; Knowledge is for anybody who wants it. Knowledge is about deeds, you want a job with Exxon, or Bank PetroChina, have a character they like.
After all the insults, carrying heavy loads for my bread during the day, writing at night, some billionaires claim the heart of my work did not seem right. Yet I knew if my name was something like John Smith or Peter Houston, Google would gladly have said we call our encyclopaedia knol a unit of knowledge a term coined by Peter Houston. This is of course because they would be sharing with Houston and giving him the publicity he deserves. After all we know what Google means, it means 1 followed by 100 zeros. Google could acknowledge that it was a term coined by Milton Sirotta, nephew of mathematician Edward Kasner. Google felt it is correct to acknowledge one of their own, and they should acknowledge all not look at the race, religion or gender. Though Google's motto is do no evil, clearly they mean that for those they consider their own. They want others to suffer, do not admit to suffering, or think of struggling.
Competition in contemporary western sense implies that you must always say those you believe are competitors are useless, incompetent, and inferior, and other dehumanizing terms. General Motors, up to the point of its bankruptcy, insisted Toyota and Honda were making inferior cars. This, however, is not what the philosopher/ economist Adam Smith meant by competition. He meant by competition that you bring your product to market, and we see who is right and who is wrong. Those who are wrong learn from whoever is right, and those who are right are acknowledged for being right. If you hide the source of right answer because of ideology, that is no longer competition, they are barriers. Take to heart the words of the great economist Marshall, who said "you go to learning institutions to fit into society, if you want knowledge buy a book".
Give knowledge; its due respect. All the aid in the world will not help Africa if they do not follow laws of knowledge. America will not shine as bright if it does not follow laws of knowledge. The world will never fully reach its potential; knowledge is the prime commodity, it is that simple. We will have to study knowledge as a science, and they/we will have to start as any science, at its unit. No more addressing fears of white racists, waiting for them to be ready to accept all are human, the world is every bodies oyster, we will never stop believing in the capacity of all human beings. Imagine what we could do as one humanity, in our diversity.
Bhekuzulu Khumalo is from the Mthwakazi people (built on Zulu core foundation, and Kalanga religion) of Southern Africa. He is a writer on knowledge economics, and has written a book "Fundamental Theory of Knowledge", that can be found on LuLu.com, as well as several papers on the topic. He also dabbles in poetry and is a tai chi practitioner.

This is so simply put, even the most hardheaded person in America should be able to understand.
