VILONIA...VILONIA...ODE' VIOLONIA ... THE STORM DID COME (1593 hits)

Vilonia, AR

The night of storm struck on the town of Vilonia, Arkansas as a dark cloak whipped the population of the houses and buildings into rubble. Crumbled in the rubble also arcoss Arkansas left a 7 reported dead. Vilonia populates about 3,800 ccitizens. The town is basically gone and is no more leaving only bits and pieces of what once was home for those residents. In Vilonia 4 deaths were reported and the damage made the town a ghost scene of what once was. In the meantime, there are people are still missing. Today, authorities will do what they can to remove debris and aid those without homes or shelters. The town of Vilonia is located near the city of Little Rock, Arkansas.

Storms are having havocs over Arkansas, Tennessee and Mississippi during the past three weeks. This stormline also struck areas in Memphis, and the immediate tri-state areas including flooding in Missouri. The Mississippi River is at its highest peak since the storms began. More rain and flooding has been reported to occur overnight.

IR.. the population was small. There is nothing left. I saw a few photos of the town and it's totally wiped away. If they rebuild it may take a long time...however nothing is impossible. They were certainly blessed. We are experiences all these days of uncertain things in the earth. Blessings however, are still granted.

@MIISRAEL, is this the small town taht the twister was bigger then the whole town?!? And, it is such a blessing that anyone came out alive as this is unheard of in modern day towns! (smile)

In a sense weather like this is worst than our earthquakes...
