A LIGHT CONVERSATION OVER...THE BASICS OF FOOD (1321 hits)

Hello...Hi there and What's up!

Noticing the rise of food prices groceries have soared...even more I'm suggesting that you may want to fill up the pantry in bulk of the basics. These include buying in bulk :

Flour
Sugar
Cornmeal
Rice/pasta dishes [Mac & cheese]

As too, bread prices are going up. I suggest stocking on loaves of bread. Bread can be frozen. There are always biscuits in the frozen food section that fill in when loaves are low. I like hot biscuits with a pad of butter...even a drop of honey. Eating simple is great and the basics can be around your house when others are paying out more for basic needs. I advice you give the stock up a try. I will.

HAVE A VERY BASIC AND SAFE DAY. :>)

I hear you loud and clear. Going back to the basics also can mean baking our own bread and growing some of our own stuff. How about becoming poultry farmers... unless there is a law against that in the city? I suppose there would be with the Avian Bird Flu and Swine Flu one can forget about Pig Farming, eh!

What's up JF!...You know people have left the basic workup of making homemade breads. It's not really hard at all and yes growing our own stuff too! Pig farming takes a lot more effort and well city dwellers have to go my zoning ordinances too. I think it's a good idea to stock up though. Don't forget peanut butter, and can items which are non-perishable can come in handy when the prices are inflated!...

Do I know any Mennonites?... I reckon.

LOL!
