Many African Americans have never been to Africa. Therefore, what they know of Africa is what they have either learned in school; European based television or from others that have gone and returned to tell their stories. It turns out that the continent of Africa by in large is suffering from antiquated structures and industry. Population growth has loaded down the means of many of the countries to keep up with food production, water pollution and medical care. The continent has unmatched beauty from a pure geographic sense and environmental topography but is trumped by civil unrest and social corruption. Yet, there is a growing need by many of the African nations to become a part of the modernized civilizations of the 21st Century. And it is in that vein that we ask the question...that if African Americans had a choice......where to set up a government of their own........a place in Africa big enough to accommodate the total population of African Americans....which African nation would we want to establish our homeland ? Lets talk about it.

As-Salaam Alaikum Brother Jamal: I have a whole host of African cities in mind. (Ghana, Cameroon, Sudan, Niger, Burkina Faso, Chad and Nigeria) I choose these because of the high presence of Islam there. Also Ghana and Sudan are the New Homes of the gold rush, although most people don't know realize it yet.

WAS...Sis. Siebra....for strategic reasons, the country MUST have a coastline. That way manufactured goods can be exported to sea without having to bypass another African nation and henceforth be taxed. With that in mind that would rule out Chad, Niger, and Burkina. Now, lets consider the other countries you mentioned, Ghana, Nigeria, Sudan and Cameroon. Wisdom would not want to put our people in the middle of civil war and corruption. Nor, would we want to go to the most populated country in all of Africa. This would rule out Nigeria and Sudan. That would leave Ghana and Cameroon to consider of your choices. Considering these two countries, what are your thoughts ?

In reality, human civilization can survive WITHOUT ISRAEL....but, it would not be able to survive without the continent of Africa. There is no end to Africa. I would put more stake in the continent of Africa then Israel any day of the week. If not for Africa, where would we get the gold, diamonds, chromium, copper, oil, pearl, platinum, ruby and hematite just to name a fraction of the natural occuring minerals. Then what about he lions, elephants, giraffes, rhinocerous, cheetah, leopards, jaguar and zebras...just to name a few of the exotic animals. Without Africa....this world that we know would not exist. Therefore, getting back to THIS BLOG....what African nations are possibilities for setting UP a homeland for African Americans? Of sis. Siebra's choices, there are Ghana and Cameroon still in the running....I would like to suggest Tanzania, Egypt and Angola.

That's not a new concept. So many Africans are coming here for education and to get away from the violence-- why would one go there? How prepared are those who would want to go be in for the long haul of building a new infrastructure?

Hello to All, Why would you ignorant Negroes want to leave the land of your origin? Black Americans did not originate in any country other than the country of White America. I have told you all that Black Americans are a new race of people born out of the ashes of plantation slavery when White people bred themselves with the African slaves over a period of 300 years that produced a new race of people added into humanity. Secondly, your ignorant Negroes do not have the choice to choose anything. Everything that comes to us because of the situation we are in would be the choice of God. Did not God choose the children of Israel Promised Land, the land of Canaan? So, how it is that you ignorant Negroes could think that you could choose your own land? Your Negroes frustrates me with your warped reasoning. I told you all before that we are not rational people. We cannot reason in a straight line and that is why God rose up a prophet for us. God did the same for the children of Israel because they too could not think well. I am the way, and besides me, there is no other way that Black Americans could ever become a real people in this world. I am the way, the truth and the light. If I am wrong about anything then please show me! Everything that I say is going to happen. What say you?

@ Sister Dunn, I would be prepared for the long haul to repair the infrastructure in Nigeria if there were others commited to the cause. The problem with many Africans is similar to the problem with African Americans... apathy. They have no faith in their governments (same as us). As you may well know that education in Nigeria and most African countries is superior to the States. I've never met an African that wasn't brillant and they always seem to be at the top of the class especially Nigerians. The fact is that most people who come here from Africa come abroad come because they want stability, not because they don't love Africa.

Good point Jen....Many African do have interest in education. One of my sons is a doctor and he does not see many African Americans at his hospital but there are many Nigerians. My only concern about Nigeria is the 138 million population. They are already experiencing a population explosion and to tax them further with another 10 to 40 million of us would be extremely challenging.

Bro. Jamal, great question...after doing a little more research on Ghana and Cameroon, I find myself leaning more towards Ghana because they have more sustainable ecomonic development. Also the women in Ghana are highly visible in activities involving sales, farmland, and/or trading.

Hello to All, It shames me the way you all think. Your rationale is to the bottom of the barrel. Let me briefly explain, okay. If Nigerians were so bright their country would reflect their intelligence. Nigerians are ignorant people. White America is brilliant and White America's intelligence is reflected in this country of theirs. Japanese a brilliant and Japan reflects the intelligence of the Japanese people. Germans are brilliant and that country reflects their brilliancy as well. You all, stop being ignorant and reasoning in a straight line. Again, why do you ignorant Negroes who are actually Black Americans would want to be Africans? Do you Negroes hate yourself in the year 2011? I thought we got past that in the 60s about hating ourselves. You Negroes disappoint me tremendously.

If a person from the planet Mars was to come to planet earth and approached me with attempt to communicate with me, being a scientist first I would try to establish "communication" with him. If the martian voiced any words that I could detect, then my response would be in accordance with I understand. Say the martian voiced "man".....I would acknowledge man. Say the martian voiced America.....I would acknowledge America and perhaps point it on a map. Say the martian voiced "stone"..then I would pick up a stone and acknowledge the stone. Say the martian voiced Africa....then I would point out the continent Africa perhaps on a map. This is an example of a martian and a human being communicating. Now, if a martian and a human can communicate, then surely several human beings can communicate.

Hello Saint, No, you have never referred to yourself as an African-American and I applaud you for that. Unlike Jamal he goes back and forth with African-American and Black American. He doesn't really know what the hell he is. However, you are not a Black Hebrew Israelite either. I know that I am right because the words Hebrew and Israelite are words that define a specific race of people that resides today in the state of Israel that descended from Jacob, Moses and Jesus. Jacob, Isaac, Esau, Joseph, Moses, Solomon, King David, Jesus and etc. were Hebrew or Israelites. They wrote the Bible telling the world their story of their relationship with God. You are not part of this story. You are not written about in the Bible. Saint you and your band of Black Hebrew Israelites are not written about in the Bible. There is no such thing as a Black Hebrew Israelite. Jacob, Moses and Jesus never describe themselves as Black Americans born out of the ashes of plantation slavery. You have stolen the Jewish people's identity and put the word Black in front of Hebrew Israelites and are now trying to tell others that you are the real Hebrew Israelites. You are a liar and a quack. What you are doing is psychologically a clear demonstration of self hatred. You hate yourself so much that you wannabe someone else. Do you not see that 41 million Black Americans are mentally deranged as the children of Israel were before the coming of Moses? The lunacy of 41 million Black Americans is a job that only God could handle. Blacks believe that they are everything except themselves because they don't know who they are until I told you all that you all are a new race of people born out of the ashes of plantation slavery. For now we will refer to ourselves as Black Americans. Other than that, we are not Black Hebrew Israelites. We are not African Americans. We are not Colored People. Am I making myself understood? What say you?

@ Saint, Nigerians are brillant and I respect them. My doctor is Nigerian and I have my closest confidants to be Africans. I have no problem with anyone marrying outside of their ethnic gp @ Jamal, I don't believe that we need to worry too, much about the millions of people as long as we can rebuild the infrastructure and reinvest money in the economy, we would be able to tackle the other growth problems and birthing explosion with education and family planning that doesn't include abortions. One of the challenges in Nigeria is poor lack of health care services which went away once the British left and gave power back to the people. Of course the British never leave any country before they can find a way to conquer thru division of the many ethnic tribes in the country. Most of the power is in the North with the Muslims which are the least educated. When the British left India, they did the same thing by conquering and dividing the Muslims and the Christians/Hindu. ... We have India and Pakistan brothers who formed separate countries because of British influence. To this day, the Pakistani and Indians do not trust or like each other. I could go on and on, but this blog has been dedicated to what country in Africa would I like to go. My answer is Nigeria.
